In this stand alone we are re-intoduced to Hudson and Celia. But this time it’s like a post Game (we think) and after slay book 1 which tells the new beginning of Celia and Edward Fasbender. In this book, we get to know Chandler more and Edwards daughter Jenny. It’s a mid plot story that has you on your seat as we try to figure out if Jenny is whole hearted or apart of a bigger game. The audible reader made Edward sound much older than he’s suppose to and that kind of throws you off. However, the author (LP) keeps with the tenses and we get to see a section of a book to come but through the eyes of pierce industries. Overall a good quick book to help bridge the time till the rest of the slay quartets are released!

Needed a better narrator

The story line was good. It’s the sexy, erotic novel you’d think from Maya Banks. The scenes are vivid and captivate you. However, the narrator needs some more practice. All his females sounded like hillbilly bumpkins. There were a lot of moments when his voice would go aggressive in times he should have been a husky whisper. Besides those moments and odd narration, the book was good overall.
