Historia
Welcome to Black Spring, the seemingly picturesque Hudson Valley town haunted by the Black Rock Witch, a seventeenth century woman whose eyes and mouth are sewn shut. Muzzled, she walks the streets and enters homes at will. She stands next to children's bed for nights on end. Everybody knows that her eyes may never be opened or the consequences will be too terrible to bear.

Enjoyable
Revisado: 07-19-21
Almost stayed away from this one bc of other reviews talking about how terrible the narrator was. While not terrible I wouldn’t say he was good either. Sometimes his voice can be grating but a lot of those times it’s characters you don’t really like anyway. I was very engaged for almost the whole story. It does tend to get repetitive but I was invested. I would only recommend this book to someone that specifically wants a witch story. It’s an interesting take on it and I found myself enjoying it even though witches aren’t something I’m usually interested in.

Historia
In this definitive biography, renowned Bible scholar, Anglican bishop, and best-selling author N. T. Wright offers a radical look at the apostle Paul, illuminating the humanity and remarkable achievements of this intellectual who invented Christian theology - transforming a faith and changing the world. For centuries, Paul, the apostle who "saw the light on the Road to Damascus" and made a miraculous conversion from zealous Pharisee persecutor to devoted follower of Christ, has been one of the church's most widely cited saints.

Sometimes mixes theology and history
Revisado: 02-08-19
Highly entertaining read. Wright sometimes mixes theology and history, expresses minority positions without saying so. All in all and great listen, and highly educational. Reading this then Ehrman's views on Paul would be very helpful. Recommend this book for anyone wanting to learn about Paul, even to Atheists like myself.

Historia
Depending on how one defines religion, there are at least thousands of religions in the world. Given such religious diversity, how can any one religion claim to know the truth? Nothing proposed so far has helped us settle which of these religions, if any, are true - until now.

Kept me interested
Revisado: 12-24-18
Easy to finish, pretty enjoyable. I liked this book, just made me wish I was reading "A Manual for Creating Atheists". If you have already read that one, then give this one a go.

Stephen Hawking not only unraveled some of the universe's greatest mysteries but also believed science plays a critical role in fixing problems here on Earth. Now, as we face immense challenges on our planet - including climate change, the threat of nuclear war, and the development of artificial intelligence - he turns his attention to the most urgent issues facing us. Will humanity survive? Should we colonize space? Does God exist? These are just a few of the questions Hawking addresses in this wide-ranging, passionately argued final book from one of the greatest minds in history.
