Truly an exceptional second book to a series. Blaise really makes Max seem like a real person. None of the BS OP MC, who is oblivious to those around him, while being some paragon of morality while they save the world even when they make the dumbest decisions. Instead, while Max is OP, he’s not blind to potential love interests, is willing to do things that could be seen as immoral to further his goals or take revenge. Truly an excellent book, and I can’t wait to listen to book 3

Excellent! Book 4 can’t come soon enough!

I haven’t finished the whole book yet, but I’m thoroughly enjoying it! Jack just keeps getting better and better with each book, and the humor is on par with DCC. My only problem is that I will have to wait for book 4 to come out on audible instead of reading ahead on RR because the performance is so good.

Excellent Sequel

I can’t recall a dull moment in this book, it felt like something was always happening. Jack also experiences a lot of character growth as well, showing there’s much more depth to him that’s been hidden. I’m very much looking forward to book 3 and beyond

There were some reviews mentioning that the MC is one you either love or hate… I suppose I can see that, but I personally really enjoyed the MC’s personality. I Definitely recommend this book

Exceptional all around

I now have about 15 top 3 audiobook series (though there is just this one right now), lol. It was a fantastic story, great narration, unique magic system, and just about everything else you could ask for. It’s unfortunate that the 2nd audiobook isn’t out yet, but I will be starting the 2nd on kindle right after finishing this review because, I need to know what happens next!

I am loving this series. Victor is exactly what I like in a MC, the story progresses smoothly and it feels like everything happening matters. The only thing I’m bummed about is that I have to wait until October for book 6
