Mostly good

It’s tough to rate story collections. I loved Rat and If It Bleeds, the other 2 are alright but not quite as great

Historia
With the Beatles, John Lennon surpasses his youthful dreams, achieving a level of superstardom that defies classification. “We were the best bloody band there was,” he says. “There was nobody to touch us.” Nobody except the original nowhere man, Mark David Chapman. Chapman once worshipped his idols from afar - but now harbors grudges against those, like Lennon, whom he feels betrayed him. He’s convinced Lennon has misled fans with his message of hope and peace. And Chapman’s not staying away any longer.

The audio performance is awful
Revisado: 02-15-23
Pattersons writing style is pretty poor for this book to begin with, but the reader for this recording makes it way worse with his attempts to mimic everyone’s voice for quotes

Audio issues
Revisado: 09-03-22
The story was good but the recording was seriously messed up. I would lose whole sentences because the recording randomly went static and if I rewound the audio it would still be static, so it wasn’t an issue on my end

Historia
In Life's Work, an outspoken Christian reproductive justice advocate and abortion provider (one of the few doctors to provide such services to women in Mississippi and Alabama) pulls from his personal and professional journeys as well as the scientific training he received as a doctor to reveal how he came to believe, unequivocally, that helping women in need, without judgment, is precisely the Christian thing to do.

Amazing!

I love everything about this book! My only issue is that once or twice during the book the audio very obviously changes. As if they had to re-record certain paragraphs and it was just very odd to hear for a few seconds.
