No hell? Everyone forgiven?
Bold.
Awe shucks, may as well sin to my hearts content.
Antennae came up early when he quoted (likely his disciple) Rob Bell.
If your itching ears want to hear that there’s not really punishment for uncommitted life, this could be the book for you.

Historia
How did the idea arise that masculinity is dangerous and destructive? Bestselling author Nancy Pearcey leads you on a fascinating excursion through American history to discover why the script for masculinity turned toxic—and how to fix it. Pearcey then turns to surprising findings from sociology. Religion is often cast as a cause of domestic abuse. But research shows that authentically committed Christian men test out as the most loving and engaged husbands and fathers. They have the lowest rates of divorce and domestic violence of any group in America.

Good book— difficult listen.
Revisado: 09-01-23
Excellent book, lotta good content… Much of which I would like to go through again with my wife.
I found the performance of reading difficult to listen to. I realize that someone may read this about themselves and be disheartened for which I am sorry, But it helped a little when I sped up the reading speed to 1.5 times.
I think it would’ve been better to read it than listen to it.

Beware!
Revisado: 01-15-23
I have wanted to read some thing from this author for a while, as he is very well spoken of.
I was not prepared for the way that it exceeds my intellect so much that I couldn’t even glean anything from it.
It was a very dry and arduous book to listen to.
I am interested to see the shape of the person’s head came in gauge with this topic and discuss it.
I don’t know how any of this information really can bolster my spiritual life.
I need to check out books a little more carefully!

Historia
Alisa Childers never thought she would question her Christian faith. She was raised in a Christian home, where she had seen her mom and dad feed the hungry, clothe the homeless, and love the outcast. She had witnessed God at work and then had dedicated her own life to leading worship as part of the popular Christian band ZOEgirl. All that was deeply challenged when she met a progressive pastor who called himself a hopeful agnostic. Another Gospel? describes the intellectual journey Alisa took over several years as she wrestled with a series of questions.

A very well thought out and organized book
Revisado: 01-14-22
I saw Alisa speak a couple months ago in Nashville, started listening to her podcasts, and just listened to this book.
I admire her in many ways, and regret that my children do not possess this level of depth with their theology.
She did NOT write a book of opinion, but certainly did a lot of research and sought wisdom in much counsel.
Her reasoned and measured method of systematic breakdown of progressive logic edifies the Christian reader, and equips us for a more grounded discourse with our loved ones who have a soft side to the subtle heresies that our enemy seeks to infiltrate into our churches and theology.
