Historia
At the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, young Jonathan Livingston Seagull caught the world’s notice as he sought to break beyond the pitiful life of those average mortals populating the earth. Conquering all, entering into the eternal bliss, Jonathan left us, as did this magical spiritual age of enlightenment. What happened? In that era many seagulls emulated Jonathan, their stories never told. But one mighty bird, Johann Earlington, a contemporary of Jonathan, too looked to greater heights, too wanted answers, and too found the ultimate abode.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Loved it!
Revisado: 03-13-16
Not a fan of horror, so I love when S.King does something different. This was a great mix of historical fiction, time-travel, and even a little romance. It was a fun ride and read (or listen)--My vacation book, it took me from California to Kauai and back, while I traveled through time with Jake/George, getting to explore an interesting take on the J.F.K. conspiracy story in a totally unique way. The narration was great, which can make or break even the best writing. Now, I get to watch the mini-series on Hulu!

Historia
"My name is Tucker Max, and I am an asshole. I get excessively drunk at inappropriate times, disregard social norms, indulge every whim, ignore the consequences of my actions, mock idiots and posers, sleep with more women than is safe or reasonable, and just generally act like a raging dickhead. But, I do contribute to humanity in one very important way: I share my adventures with the world."

Low brow entertainment for wanna be hipsters
Revisado: 07-28-11
His stories were funny-ish. The book could be great if he didn't lie, bullsh**, and say what every teenage boy (including the ones who are 40) wants to hear. Clearly, Tucker didn't get dates in high school, and his resentment of the girls who just said no is as transparent as his embellishment. I would love to sit him down on my therapy couch + get to the root of his insecurities and misogyny and then maybe he could write the fantastic, funny, witty tale of booze infused sexcapades we all wish this one had been.
And his A.D.H.D. doesn't help the narration. Take a breath, slow it down. Just because you speed through it, doesn't make it more plausible.
But to be fair, I did laugh at least 20 times at the audacity of it all (including the idea that he wants us to believe it is an actual, factual, autobiographical memoir).
