Historia
Since the beginning of recorded history, humans have longed to find the answers to these most fundamental questions. One Truth, One Law has the answers channeled directly from God/universal mind. Everything in our universe is defined by one truth. One truth is the difference between understanding everything or knowing nothing. It’s the difference between being whole or feeling lost. If you have the courage to set aside what you think you know, this book has the answers you’ve never quite been able to grasp.

Simple but Profound
Revisado: 03-26-25
This set of ideas, as my title indicates, is simple but profound, containing ideas worth internalizing to make one's own. I wouldn't say, though, as many of the comments suggest, that no more books are needed - that depends on the individual - but I would say that this is worth listening to.

Feels Inauthentic
Revisado: 03-23-25
This story did not feel authentic to me. It felt like something made up, something that any mediocre science fiction writer could come up with and there's no comparison to the writings of OBEers like William Buhlman or Jergen Ziewe. I became quite bored with this book and stopped two-thirds of the way through.

Unlistenable
Revisado: 02-06-25
The man who reads this Gospel does so in a way that makes it unlistenable for me. The problem is in how he reads the words of Ramakrishna himself. His way of reading them makes Ramakrishna sound like some kind of repressed robot stuck in a sort of self-imposed saint mode, his intonation neither rising nor falling, as if he's being very careful about every word and how he says it, always being infinitely careful to come off as highly virtuous and holy. Obviously this is the reader's idea of how a saint speaks. Ramakrishna was wild and raw but every bit the sage and true saint despite these qualities. The reader's way of reading Ramakrishna's words are, to put it bluntly, insipid. I could not listen to the reading for very long and I consider this purchase a waste of money. The reader does not understand who Ramakrishna was or what he was like.

This book offered me many ideas that led to synthesis in regard to my own thoughts and views. It filled in some puzzling holes in my understanding as well. I will listen to it again.

This Is More About Chardin Than Chardin's Thought
Revisado: 12-10-24
This is much more a biography of Chardin than it is about his thought. For me at least, a waste of time, would return it if I could.

Not Convincing
Revisado: 11-01-24
I tend to be a fan of Hancock but this book about ancient America struck me as being weak, not convincing at all. I think that Hancock basically tried to transfer Atlantis to North America but he offers nothing I can construe as evidence. Actually, I think this is Hancock's weakest book to date.

Historia
Every generation, a journalist has looked deep into the heart of the nuclear military establishment: the technologies, the safeguards, the plans, and the risks. These investigations are vital to how we understand the world we really live in—where one nuclear missile will beget one in return, and where the choreography of the world’s end requires massive decisions made on seconds’ notice with information that is only as good as the intelligence we have. Pulitzer Prize finalist Annie Jacobsen’s Nuclear War: A Scenario explores this ticking-clock scenario.

The End of Prepping
Revisado: 04-22-24
For awhile, a few years back, I was a committed prepper but no more. No amount of prepping could prepare a person for what's described in this book. Nuclear war will be the end of our civilization and history as well as the end of all we dream of and hope for. There will be no grand future, no journey to the stars. There will be nothing, nothing.

Originally released in fall 2017, The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump was a runaway best seller. Alarmed Americans and international onlookers wanted to know: What is wrong with him? That question still plagues us. The Trump administration has proven as chaotic and destructive as its opponents feared, and the man at the center of it all remains a cipher.

Not What I Thought It Would Be
Revisado: 02-14-24
This book is mainly a history of how humanity has viewed personality and formulated personality disorders from early Greek times onward through the DSM V. I gave it less than five stars because it wasn't what I was looking for in buying it. I thought I was going to get an overview of the personality disorders themselves rather than a history of them; if you're looking for this kind of history, this book's for you but otherwise, pause before you buy.

In his essay On Anger, the Roman Stoic thinker Seneca argues that anger is the most destructive passion. This splendid new translation of essential selections from On Anger, presented with an enlightening introduction, offers listeners a timeless guide to avoiding and managing anger. Drawing on his great arsenal of rhetoric, including historical examples, anecdotes, quips, and soaring flights of eloquence, Seneca builds his case against anger with mounting intensity.

This Audible Book Is Not Well Formatted
Revisado: 08-23-23
I am giving this audible book a straightforward two stars because the separate sections in the work are not accessible as separate sections and neither are the sections even listed, in terms of the minute mark they start at; so separate sections can't be accessed in any convenient manner. Instead, the entire main body of the book - over two hours - is read as one, single block. That is unacceptable for a book like this. Well, this is unacceptable for any book, but especially for a piece of philosophy of this nature. The ideas which I might find particularly healing can't be located for repeated listening.
