Not bad...
Revisado: 06-06-21
This was a Very quick listen. The narration was great, the story itself was decent and the writing was well done. I think it was just too short to be very memorable.

Historia
Seventeen-year-old Alice and her mother have spent most of Alice’s life on the road, always a step ahead of the uncanny bad luck biting at their heels. But when Alice’s grandmother, the reclusive author of a cult-classic book of pitch-dark fairy tales, dies alone on her estate, the Hazel Wood, Alice learns how bad her luck can really get: Her mother is stolen away - by a figure who claims to come from the Hinterland, the cruel supernatural world where her grandmother's stories are set. Alice's only lead is the message her mother left behind: "Stay away from the Hazel Wood."

Not bad...
Revisado: 09-22-19
So, I've got alot of mixed feelings about this book. The story itself was not bad. The main character is a bit hard to like or even tolerate at times at first, but she does grow on you a little towards the end as you cone to understand her more. I personally hated the narrator though. I think this book was meant for a younger audience though so, all in all it wasn't bad.

In Those Who Wander, Vivian Ho delves deep into a rising subculture that’s changing the very fabric of her city and all of urban America. Moving beyond the disheartening statistics, she gives voices to these young people - victims of abuse, failed foster care, mental illness, and drug addiction. She also doesn’t ignore the threat they pose to themselves and to others as a dangerous dark side emerges. With alarming urgency, she asks what can be done to save the next generation of America’s vagabond youth.

great book, great narration
Revisado: 09-14-19
This book was Amazing, and I can only hope that it will open some eyes that have been blind either by choice, because its easier than truly looking at a very serious issue, or by genuine ignorance.

Historia
Welcome to Black Spring, the seemingly picturesque Hudson Valley town haunted by the Black Rock Witch, a seventeenth century woman whose eyes and mouth are sewn shut. Muzzled, she walks the streets and enters homes at will. She stands next to children's bed for nights on end. Everybody knows that her eyes may never be opened or the consequences will be too terrible to bear.

Ok story, Worse narrator I've ever heard!
Revisado: 09-10-19
This story... what can I say, Overall. it wasn't terrible. As horror stories go, it definitely wasn't the best. There were suspenseful scenes, but nothing scary. The narrator though, was possibly the worse I've ever heard! He made it very hard for me to finish listening to this book. I would recommend, if you are interested in the book, just buying a copy and reading it yourself. I may have enjoyed it a bit more if I had done that.

Historia
After the end of her marriage, Kate Granger has retreated to her parents' home on Lake Superior to pull herself together - only to discover the body of a murdered woman washed into the shallows. Tucked in the folds of the woman's curiously vintage gown is an infant, as cold and at peace as its mother. No one can identify the woman. Except for Kate. She's seen her before. In her dreams...

respect
Revisado: 05-29-19
This was an amazing read/listen. I have been where Nikki was, alot less money and girls of coarse, but the bottom of rock bottom none the less, and I listened with admiration and respect, as he spilled his darkest moments. I know that it was meant to help people in the same boat, but it was as if he were speaking directly to me at times, as if he were in my head. It has helped me a great deal, just to know that it's not just me, I am not alone and for that I will be grateful always. Shared demons aside, I would recommend this book to anyone who has had or is having anything to do with addiction of any kind, if you are struggling to help a loved one going through it, it will help you understand them a little better and if it is you it will help you just knowing you are not alone and there can be a happy ending for you! Thank you Nikki!♡♡♡
