Cute Story if You Kerp an Open Mind

It was a cute story I enjoyed. It is hard to place a time period for it as it seems all over the place. Ends on a huge cliff hanger almost as if she had a deadline to meet and just quit writing.
Like many, I struggled with the narrator, almost giving up in the first 10 minutes. However I turned the narration speed up to 1.1 which helped immensely!

Weak Heroine Hard to Stomach

I enjoyed a lot of the book but how weak the heroine was made me almost stop listening to it repeatedly. The whole situation was abusive and manipulative. I can usually look past some of the character flaws that I don't agree with but wow....

Good Story withSome Questionable Narration

I enjoyed the story of a cute. The female narrator's voice for Guy was so slimy it made me uncomfortable. I almost didn't listen past his first appearance because of it.

Cute Story but Abrupt Ending

Cute - Consistent with the Series

Cute, it is very consistent with the series. I am disappointed that this is the last book as it feels like a there are so many places it could continue to go.

Enjoyable tales

Enjoyed the story but...

I enjoyed the story but at times I found myself zoning out and not feeling the need to remind for what I might have missed. The narrator was ok. Everytime she "yelled" it was cring inducing for me. I have enjoyed the series so far. I do not feel this was one of the best books in it but, I am still look forward to the next book.

So much more than I expected.

Would you consider the audio edition of 14 to be better than the print version?

I really don't know since I have not read the print version. I do know the first hour was a struggle to get through both in story and narration. However, after that I really got wrapped up in the different voices, they do sometime blur, but over I feel that narration really helped to lend to the story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of 14?

There are quite a few but nothing I can say withoout giving away storyline.

Have you listened to any of Ray Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not listened to Ray Porter before but I would consider listening to him again.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were definitely some suspenseful and sad moments where you are pulling for the characters. I would not say that any one emotion was extreme though.

Any additional comments?

I was really suprised by how much I enjoyed this book! I would even read it again. Do yourself a favor and get through the first hour!
