I can’t wait to incorporate some of the practices from this book into my personal ceremonies and rituals. A great source of inspiration for connecting with nature.

Historia
Miracle and Wonder: Conversations with Paul Simon is part memoir, part investigation, and unlike any creative portrait you’ve ever heard before. Recorded over a series of 30 hours of conversation between Simon, Gladwell, and Gladwell’s oldest friend and co-writer, journalist and Broken Record podcast co-host Bruce Headlam, the conversation flows from Simon’s music, to his childhood in Queens, NY, to his frequent collaborators including Art Garfunkel and the nature of creativity itself.

Listen with a partner
Revisado: 06-24-22
This is so inspiring for anyone who has ever considered writing a song or music lovers in general. It was fun to listen with my partner and then listen to all of Paul Simon’s music forever after with new ears.

With Duran Duran, John Taylor has created some of the greatest music of our time. From the disco dazzle of debut single "Planet Earth" right up to their latest number one album, All You Need is Now, Duran Duran has always had the power to sweep the world onto its feet. It's been a ride - and for John in particular, the ride has been wild, thrilling...and dangerous. Now, for the first time, he tells his incredible story. This is the Real JT!
Revisado: 11-28-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
There is nothing like listening to the story of DD from JT's perspective in his own voice. I bought it to hear his version of the band's history and ended up intrigued and touched by John's personal story of addiction and recovery. In fact, I wish he had gone into more detail in that area. A great listen for any Duranie.

Historia
The power of mantras comes not from the meaning of the symbols, but from their direct vibrational effect on our body's physiological and energetic systems. Ashley-Farrand also teaches that Sanskrit is an energy-based language and mantras are spiritual formulas for working with this energy. They are desgined to eliminate obstacles as we progress spiritually, and help us to make energetic progress toward good.

Learn to Chant Mantras by Listening
Revisado: 11-28-12
Would you listen to Mantra: Sacred Words of Power again? Why?
This is great for those of us who see the written Sanskrit and wonder how to pronounce the mantras. The author also has a great deal of knowledge about the purpose of each mantra he teaches, and includes lessons in history and mythology, as well as lots of anecdotes about real people using the mantras and their sometimes unexpected results. I listened to this on a solo road trip to a meditation center and it was just the thing to give me food for thought while I was there.

Historia
Perhaps the most essential teachings given to us by Jesus came in the final year of his life on earth. Known as the "I AM" statements and found in the Gospel of John and the Gnostic Gospel of Thomas, these radical truths were offered to connect each one of us to the original source of Jesus' deeper power. But to fully grasp and embody these profound insights, teaches Dr. Neil Douglas-Klotz, we must hear them in Jesus' native tongue.

Eye-Opening
Revisado: 11-28-12
What did you love best about I Am?
This book opened my eyes to a Jesus that I always knew had to exist, but I had never heard of before. It helped me to bridge the gap between what is true in my heart, and what I learned in Sunday school and church. I will listen to this again.

Historia
The recent changes in our economic landscape have only exposed and intensified a phenomenon: an explosion in sharing, bartering, lending, trading, renting, gifting, and swapping. From enormous marketplaces such as eBay and Craigslist to emerging sectors such as peer-to-peer lending (Zopa), "swap trading" (Swaptree), and car sharing (Zipcar), Collaborative Consumption is disrupting outdated modes of business and reinventing not only what we consume but how we consume.

Sharing Can Be Fun!
Revisado: 10-12-10
If you enjoyed Freakonomics or The Tipping Point, I recommend this book. The first part is an interesting look at how we got to where we are as consumers, and the rest of the book outlines various ways that people are creating collaborative environments with the help of social media. I found it to be inspiring.
