Historia
One of the greatest physicists of the twentieth century, Richard Feynman possessed an unquenchable thirst for adventure and an unparalleled ability to tell the stories of his life. "What Do You Care What Other People Think?" is Feynman's last literary legacy, prepared with his friend and fellow drummer, Ralph Leighton.

Insightful about the Rogers Commission
Revisado: 07-18-19
Having read "Genius" by James Gleick and "Surely you are joking Mr. Feynman" by Feynman, I find this book a worthy-to-read complement. Through this book, we really get to see "behind the scenes" on the Rogers Commission that investigated the Challenger disaster. We also get to see Feynman's working style and philosophy. The investigation was a messy affair, and Feynman shows us both the insider (of the commission) and the outsider (of NASA) perspectives.

Historia
Gene Kranz was present at the creation of America's manned space program and was a key player in it for three decades. As a flight director in NASA's Mission Control, Kranz witnessed firsthand the making of history. He participated in the space program from the early days of the Mercury program to the last Apollo mission, and beyond. He endured the disastrous first years when rockets blew up and the United States seemed to fall further behind the Soviet Union in the space race.

Worth the listen
Revisado: 07-18-19
You get to learn a lot about mission control, its operations, and some key players through this book, and I liked Kranz's storytelling. The book is very comprehensive, with the drawback that some sections feel a bit repetitive. The narration is okay, but the narrator doesn't pronounce the words, like "Gemini," "LM," and "1202 alarm" the way they were pronounced by people at NASA in the 60s. I would still recommend the book.

Historia
This is the story of a unique American hero who came of age as an astronaut during the few dramatic years when man reached the moon. Cernan's career spanned the entire Apollo program, from the tragic fire that killed three of his comrades on Apollo 1, through the moment when he left man's last footprint on the moon as commander of Apollo 17.

Most hilarious and entertaining
Revisado: 07-18-19
Cernan's humor and brilliant narration makes this audio-book a fun and addictive listen! I absolutely enjoyed it. Cernan doesn't hesitate to express his personal (sometimes controversial) opinions, and I really like that. If I want an objective and detailed history of the 1960s space program, I would go for scholarly books written by space historians. The first-hand anecdotes from the last man to step foot on the moon left me laughing out loud quite a few times during this 5 hours of listening.

One of a kind.
Revisado: 10-30-18
Among the Harry Potter series, the Order of the Phoenix has some of the most moving stories to tell and lessons to teach. It is in this book when we are introduced to central characters like Luna and Kreacher. It is enjoyable listening to Jim Dale’s performance for different characters... (although his pronunciation of Bellatrix Lestrange sounds like Bellatrix Lestronge).

Historia
How did a simple design error cause one of the great disasters of the 1980s - the collapse of the walkways at the Kansas City Hyatt Regency Hotel? What made the graceful and innovative Tacoma Narrows Bridge twist apart in a mild wind in 1940? How did an oversized waterlily inspire the magnificent Crystal Palace, the crowning achievement of Victorian architecture and engineering? These are some of the failures and successes that Henry Petroski, author of the acclaimed The Pencil, examines in this engaging, wonderfully literate book.

Good insights on the history of engineering
Revisado: 07-23-18
Mainly focusing on engineering incidents in the 20th century, the book narrates the history of engineering and technological considerations without using jargons. The insights given in the book can be applied to all fields alike. True stories are entertaining. Don’t expect very recent engineering achievements: the book was written in the 1980s! Narration is being done in brillant pace and tone. Highly recommend to all.
