Historia
It’s the flight before Christmas and Molly just got an unexpected gift: a free first-class upgrade on her plane trip home for the holidays. Bring on the complimentary cocktails! But after one too many, she spills all her secrets to the hot guy seated next to her—only to wake up mortified when her buzz has worn off. At least she never has to see Liam again ... or so she thinks. When Molly arrives at Christmas House, the festive rental home that she and her family are sharing with her sister’s fiancé and his wealthy family, she discovers that Liam is one of the new in-laws. Oops.

Such insufferable or blind people
Revisado: 12-10-24
The story was nothing special. I am sure it would be great if not for some glaring things. Colin and Liam’s parents were the most pretentious self obsessed overshadowing people. They did not care about anyone but themselves. The scene where they stole the limelight by showing off her singing talent just as Molly and April’s parents were telling them how proud they were of their daughter and how talent they are was infuriating and while that was the worse scene, that couple did everything to make everything about them. All foods or tastes or smells were all about them. While it was meant to be funny, they came off as liars who couldn’t stand for the focus to be on anyone else but them.
April and Colin did not fool me at all. From the moment they talked about her having an upset stomach and he behaving like she was dying, I knew she was pregnant. What was flabbergasting is that we and the family were all supposed to not notice. The additives conversation and cheese etc were give away and meanwhile April just kept got over involved. And April refusing to spend any time with her sister was cruel. All they had to do is say she had a bad case of food poisoning. That stuff can take days to recover from. Instead we are meant to believe a mom wouldn’t worry about her daughter being sheltered like spun glass. I would have worried she was dying or hope she was pregnant. Why did no one care she didn’t want to do anything with them, even going for a walk.
.Not sure why Molly’s parent tried to spend like people who have no financial sense yet keep the win a secret. The plans they made for the silly wedding ideas of Colin’s mum was destined to empty those winnings quickly. Molly I understood, who wants to admit being a financial success on a kink store. Not sure it would ever make her a millionaire though lol.
There was too much time spent on the wrong things. There was less whimsy and more convoluted drama that is then just ignored.

Historia
Gemma Summers is unlucky in love. She's known it since third grade, when her first crush blew a spitball into her hair, and a decade-long string of bad dates, boring sex, and abysmal morning afters has done nothing to improve her prospects. But when a random radio call-in contest lands her courtside tickets to the hottest playoff game of the season, Gemma's luck may finally be on the upswing, even if it doesn't exactly seem like it when the dreaded Jumbotron kiss cam lands on her and her date.

Thankfully it was included with my members
Revisado: 10-09-24
The narrator all over high pitched and shrieking at silly times was terrible. Made the Heroine seem like a child. Her male voices were squeaky and not masculine it all. The story itself was far fetched and the characters often did not make sense. They were extreme in a way that felt inappropriate for the story. The heroine and hero’s exes were psychopaths and their excessive ire just didn’t make sense. Never mind the behaviour of the cousin.

The timings felt off and the angst felt forced
Revisado: 05-18-24
What I disliked was his age and the forced angst. It felt off especially all his sexual experience before he met her. If he really did like women over ten years older and was keeping around when he met her as well as the whole Penelope thing then some of those relationships happened before he was 18 if they are to be believed. Otherwise he was just sleeping around non stop for a year and a half before he met Solene. I also think Hayes should have been voiced by someone else. Robbin’s had a sultry sleepy voice that worked for Solene but not many others and certainly not Hayes. The ending was annoying. He stopped reaching out as Solene ghosted him and then claiming her love ended was terrible. Also Izzy at 13 thinking she loved Hayes in that romantic way was a bit icky. It would have been nice for her address that she was holding out for when she was older.
I liked the way the romance played out mostly. I even would forget my distaste at his ridiculous young age. His maturity, thoughtfulness and sexual skill for someone barely out of his teens was rather unbelievable. He was too skilled. But the scenes were hot. I liked seeing what she did as a business owner. I mourned the end of this relationship.

Great story buf extreme jealousy is not love
Revisado: 01-17-24
The story is a great intro to a fantastic series. The only thing I hate is the part of the hero beaming a Neanderthal because an insecure idiot, The possessive actions are not love and that should be addressed. Possessive feelings or action is about control, not love.

Historia
A thousand years have passed since a dragon has been seen in the world. Science and technology have replaced magic, which has dwindled until it has become little more than an element of myth and legend. There are those who still have dragon blood flowing through their veins, distant descendants of the mighty creatures of old. These rare humans have the power to cast magic, the power to heal, and the power to craft alchemical weapons capable of starting wars...or ending them.

It is a great book in the series
Revisado: 07-01-23
I still have a few issues with the narrator but over all it is tolerable. I love the additional characters the depth of some of their characters and trauma. Wasn’t sure I would start this book as I realised there are still more books to come but I am happy I did and am eager to read the rest of the series

Book needs a trigger warning for violence and torture scenes
Revisado: 06-01-23
The story was quite good. I enjoyed it. The narrator unfortunately made every male sound like old men.
Without spoiling the story there was a lot of violence and death and it need a trigger warning for a scene where a woman was graphically tortured.

Hero was a whiny emotional bitter male
Revisado: 11-25-22
Both narrators were not the greatest and I found it hard to really like the characters. The female narrator sounded so flat and emotionally flat. Meanwhile the hero was a man who had been emotionally stunted by his mum choosing to do the right thing for herself. His nasty attitude was silly for a man who was 18 at the time his mum left. His father didn’t help. Maybe the narrator made me dislike them more.

Never have I need more angry at a book
Revisado: 10-17-22
What the absolute piece of shit of a concept. First it seems like they referenced things we don’t hear but expect us to know. Every sister was miserable for one reason another. The mother annoyed me so much, maybe because of the way the narrator voices her Italian accent.
Then the concept of the story a man in love with one unavailable woman (Bridget) for years cheats on a compatibility match study by making sure his answers match those of the sister (Emma). The Emma entered the study to find true love because her dates have been horrible for a while. Not only that but the family all* knew Cooper was in love with Bridget but the poor sister (the main character) never seemed to be the wiser. The whole damn family singed off without a problem on the concept of Cooper marrying the other sister !!! We do not even see the father being convinced the older daughter would not be hurt!
They spend the whole book on getting us hoping and cheering for this stupid pairing and near the end it looks like Emma is going to lose out again just because Bridget got cold feet for her wedding and deciding Cooper is her choice. I had to stop reading because this travesty of a story. What was the point!
