Historia
As the least favored child, it was no surprise when Rivka's father selects her, at age six, to comply with the country's conscript law. Sent away to the military to be raised and trained, she struggles to keep from falling into an abyss of despair. Only when she adopts a new friend's dream of becoming a member of the elite Black Guard does she find a new reason to live. Few make it into the Black Guard, but Rivka is determined. Yet when she makes it and is sent on her first mission, she discovers to her dismay that the Black Guard may not be as perfect as she had believed.

C.R. Daems runs you through tactical advantages and action. To be unwanted and then discovering a place you feel is family. Driven to do your best and taking every action to keep your team safe is one thing the MC strives to do.
To discover peace and control during intense battles is a huge growing point. This book gives you so many levels of how to do hard things deal with loss and grow stronger. I enjoy the power the writer gives to the MC and the people around her. He gives you the energy to cheer and feel sad. You know how hard it can be to be a woman doing the job that is traditionally mans job. I love how Black Gard does not discriminate but how the people who higher them find they have to change there views or risk there lives.
I enjoyed the first book looking forward to reading book 2.

Historia
Blaze Sonnier has had a bad year. In the spring, she made national news while dressed as the Easter Bunny in a brawl where she was trying to defend herself, and earned the moniker Bitch Slap Bunny. In the fall, the mother who abandoned Blaze for an acting career showed up on her doorstep, not only injured from an accident but broke and in need of a place to stay. While on a bike ride to purge her stress Blaze encounters one small (in physical stature only) silver lining with a flat tire.

Blissfully written.
Revisado: 06-06-23
Laughter is good medicine, one of the things that makes Robin Alexander a great writer is she can make you laugh. Lori Prince definitely makes this book one of my favorite to listen to.
As I have lived in the south and totally understand the quirks and off handed life. The Characters bring out a no holds bar reality and no fantasy type life. What makes me constantly go back to this book and all the other Robin Alexander books is the real funny stupid and outrageous things the character gets themselves into.
From beheading lawn ornaments to making the wrong tea. A misunderstood MC and a woman who totally gets the crazy. So pop some popcorn and learn a new game you may want to try with your friends, sit back and listen to one of Lori Prince best show of her skills with voices, laugh with the best .
Then I totally recommend gettin all of Robins books you will always come back for a laugh.

Witch Wolf
Revisado: 05-31-23
Hi have already listened to this audio several time.
I enjoy the batter of the MC and her detective friend and the Mercenary.
I also like that this is a story with great interesting the MC and her discovery of herself being a War Wolf. The reality of who she is now and how being away from pack and her pack instincts coming forward.
The twist and turns are gradual and the way it flows is smooth. I do like that it’s not a wam in bed action. Making just enough to keep you gong but not so much you think it’s the only subject written in the book.
The other two books that follow are also great I totally recommend them.
The narrator uses an interesting voice for the vampire. It’s slower yet direct and calming.
But I do like the narrator and she did a fine job.

Historia
Tough and demanding LAPD Detective Kate Delafield is the leader of the investigation into a high-rise office building murder. The case is intriguing but routine - until Kate interviews the only witness, Ellen O'Neil. When Ellen O'Neil took her new job over the objections of her lover, she wasn't expecting to become embroiled in murder. The curiosity that Kate Delafield rouses is equally unexpected. But it is never far from Ellen's mind that she is merely a name on an interview sheet to the tight-lipped detective.

If you lived in 1984 nothing in this book would shock you
Revisado: 11-21-22
I know this time period I lived it grew up in it and the book may seem to others filled with a hate for many types of people. But if you know history or the time period the book was written you then know what it was like during that time. The book is set in the 80’s aids epidemic the Regan years and a people who want to be themselves. The MC is a former Marine and now a LAPD Detective going through her life doing her job as efficiently and precisely as possible. The people she sees and meets also struggle with there own life’s and rules of the game in corporate sales and getting up in the world. I personally grew up reading detective books and listening to radio shows and the this book did bring back a lot of that vibe. Harsh words despicable people and deep rooted heart loving people who have to hide because of the time period. The story is well done the narrator is great on all the different types of peoples voices she has to do. I like the fact that the writer is not shy in bringing out the truth of people and the in-depth way it is done in your face this is how it was. Then you are pushed to see how life has its moments of love and excepting. The part in the book when the MC is interviewing one of the Managers and how she deals with moving up in the corporate ladder and how her partner treats her when she comes home. It amazed me shocked me and yet I do know the 80’s. But what makes me really like this series of books is that it speakers and it gives no regrets to the way life is and was. I loved how the writer did give you subtle clues if you pay attention and gets you to think about how to figure out who did it. I have already listens to book 2 and 3 and will continue. I am not afraid of reading a book the brings out life reality and how it is. Some may say a book with such ruff words should not be written. But life and reality can not be hidden behind a curtain it would make for a dull or no reality of understanding of humans. Also the book does not go in a rampage of racial slurs it gives you the reality of who is who in the book. With out the understanding of the characters in the book by who they are how can you feel the anger or frustration of the MC and how she handles it. It is a quick mystery and it is a great listen and I like the MC and her style she definitely feels real.

I know how it is to hide for so long.
This story brought back many memories.
I love the way the writer brought in the story. Trying to feel excepted and trying to be what your not is so hard. With love things can change.
The story is so worm and heartbreaking and loving.
I loved the first book also and to find such comfort in knowing you can overcome challenges is great.
I totally recommend this book.

Who’s have thought
Revisado: 07-30-22
For once I was so pleased with a book that brought a bit of this and that to it.
What I mean is it had me smiling and it had me sad and mad. I just enjoyed the way it was put together with out a drama moment that you would have expected in other book. Narration was great and the flow of the story was good. I enjoyed the banter and the the MC had and I also cringed when I new she messed up but maid good.
A perfect fool with less drama more insight and fun totally not what I expected yet was very pleased with it.

Revisado: 06-29-22
I was not interested for over a year.
This book took my interest now for the reason of the reviews. I hesitated and then bought the audio.
I can not explain how moving it was but damn thing had me hooked within the first chapter. The emotion the inner turmoil and the clash of voices.
The whole thing dig deep inside and my heart thudded over what was coming next.
Amazing and stirring the detail the set of emotions you feel are such a challenge.
I totally recommend this book or audio.

I can’t stop listening
Revisado: 01-17-22
I have listened to this story three times now. The performance was so well done and I just feel the MC hesitation and uncertainty because the narration was so perfect.
To be a recluse and living in your own world because you feel like you are not part of what is around you is so familiar to me.
I love the hard look on life and the struggle the MC goes through. You can’t not cry and laugh and love this story.
Angela Dowe brings the characters to life and with emotion so well. Roslyn Sinclair has written a book that just makes you feel and you want to just wrap the MC in your arms. I totally recommend the book.
