Historia
Miss Linnet Berry Thrynne is a Beauty... Naturally, she's betrothed to a Beast. Piers Yelverton, Earl of Marchant, lives in a castle in Wales where, it is rumored, his bad temper flays everyone he crosses. And rumor also has it that a wound has left the earl immune to the charms of any woman. Linnet is not just any woman. She is more than merely lovely: her wit and charm brought a prince to his knees. She estimates the earl will fall madly in love - in just two weeks. She is more than merely lovely: her wit and charm brought a prince to his knees.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I listened to Pride and Passion by the same author before listening to this story and thought it was good. When I purchased this this one I didn't realize it was a different narrator. What a huge difference it made. Even though I really want to know how this ends, I may just need to pick up a copy on my kindle because I can't trudge through this anymore.

What made the experience of listening to The Strangers On Montagu Street the most enjoyable?
I've enjoyed this series a lot. I don't think this was the best book in the series, but I was happy to get it. I've read on the author's blog that she won't be doing any other Melanie and Jack books...I think that's a mistake, but maybe she'll give us some follow up through her other characters.

What did you love best about The Witness?
I think I had just about given up on Nora Roberts. I don't like her "In Death" work and hadn't read anything of hers that was really great in quite a while. HOWEVER! The Witness did not disappoint. I would put it up there with Blue Smoke, Northern lights and Angel Falls. Great characters, great dialog, great suspense. I'll definitely listen to this one again! YAY Nora! Oh, and fabulous narration! Yay Julia!

Not as good as I hoped.
Revisado: 08-05-05
I so love Sophie Kinsella. I enjoyed the first 3 Shopaholic books and raved about Can you keep a secret to all my friends, but I just didn't enjoy this listen. I found the story tedious and the main character just alittle too "out there" and the reader's voice annoying. Sorry Soph, I still love your work and will continue to buy your books!
