awful narrator
Revisado: 07-21-24
The story for this book in this series is better than the last. Tied together better and very interesting. character development is better too. But they need to find another narrator. She ruins these books.

Disappointing
Revisado: 03-15-22
The American accents were awful and very distracting. The performance in general was disappointing. And the story was nothing extraordinary. Overall disappointing.

Historia
When the truffle-hunting dog starts to dig furiously, his master’s first reaction is delight at the size of the clump the dog has unearthed: At the going rate, this one truffle might be worth several hundred pounds. Then the dirt falls away to reveal not a precious mushroom but the bones and tendons of what is clearly a human hand. In Not in the Flesh, Chief Inspector Wexford tries to piece together events that took place 11 years earlier, a time when someone was secretly interred in a secluded patch of English countryside.

Historia
The case seems so simple that Inspector Morse deems it beneath his notice. A wealthy, elderly American tourist has a heart attack in her room at Oxford’s luxurious Randolph Hotel. Missing from the scene is the lady’s handbag, which contained the Wolvercote Tongue, a priceless jewel that her late husband had bequeathed to the Ashmolean Museum just across the street. Morse proceeds to spend a great deal of time thinking—and drinking—in the hotel’s bar, certain the solution is close at hand, until conflicting stories, suspicious doings, and a real murder convince him otherwise.

narration horrible
Revisado: 11-29-20
Very good story but the narration was hard to listen to. It gets better as you go but really would have been much more enjoyable with a different narrator.
