Robyn Peterman is one of my favorites if not The Favorite. I cannot recall anything by her I didn't love, or anything that didn't have me rolling in the floor with laughter. I highly recommend anything by this author.

This book was like a lot if not most of Jermey Roberson's books a great read, man this guy has got one hell of an imagination. A must listen. I really enjoyed it.

narrator judged too harshly....

I felt the other reviewers were a little too harsh on the narrator's performance. I feel this woman is new to narrating, but she was not terrible. She could always be understood she tried a bit too hard to put inflection & emphasis on her words but I knew exactly what was going on in the story & she had different voices for the characters so I could easily tell who was speaking. I was actually disappointed she stopped where she did. I am also disappointed that was the only episode. I feel she gave up on this podcast too soon. Every1 has to start somewhere & unlike alot of the audiobooks this woman was obviously not a professional actor or narrator but she gave it a try anyway. I just hope she didn't give it up because of the harsh reviews. I think with practice she would have improved with every episode. I do hope to see this series on audible sometime soon im eager to hear what happens in this series.

Good book

i liked this story i am downloading the 2nd book of the series now. The story was a little predictable but ive read many RH stories & there is only so much unpredictability the story can have especially concerning the dynamic between the MC & her love interest(s ). The storyline isnt exactly fresh- long lost princess finds out who she really is after gaining powers... but its a good story so that makes up for it in my opinion. So far its well written enuf & the characters are interesting enuf to keep u wanting to know whats going to happen.

I don't often write reviews. Although I should as many titles as I've listened to. Over 600. But I seem to usually be in a hurry to get to my next book planning to write a review later, and then never seeming to get around to it. Therefore when I do write one as soon as I finish the book it's usually for a good reason. The main reason for this review? The narrator. Id like to start off saying that after listening to almost all the other Afterlife books including what titles are out as of today of the spinoff series books I almost passed on this one because of the ratings. Most of the reviews said the same thing: they hated the narration. Not many seemed to like Russell Bentley as Dominic Draven. I DONOT agree I felt his portrayal was a very good one. Russell doesn't have a deep intimidating voice that I was afraid a narrator would doing this character. This made it so much easier to buy Doms actions against his "Electus" more tolerable. I know after hearing Keiras story why Dom did the unbearable & abhorrent things he did in order to "keep her safe". Which after a while just started to piss me off & start wishing she would just get with Lucious after a while. I felt the narrator brought out a more likable Draven, more realistic for a human girl to fall for.
His portrayal of other characters was so good also & sum were just funny while still sounding true to life. His portrayal of the sleezy car salesman was so good I wanted to wipe off my mouth after Keira kissed his cheek. That one he really nailed, but humorously at the same time. And Frank , u can't help but love the 'awe shucks' country twang in one instance then almost swoon over his fierce love and protectivness for his sister-in-law & love of his wife the next.
So for the record to anyone not sure of getting this one - even if u don't learn much of anything new that u didn't know from Keiras story its definitely worth the credit because if Russell Bentley. I felt Draven needed some humanity & Russell gave that to him in my mind.

I love this series & this has to be the funniest book yet. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at book in my life.

Getting better...

This story is actually getting better as it progresses thankfully I liked the first book ok, I liked the second book ok but with the third book I found myself liking it more and looking forward to reading the fourth book hopefully it will only get better from here

So Funny!

This book was sooooo funny. The narrator was great. A must listen if you have a good sense of humor & are not easoly offended by bible humor. Just remember God has a sense of humor too why else would he have given us the ability to laugh. 😄Great book.
