Thrilling book with unexpected ending!!

Tom did an outstanding job developing the characters and writing a clean, thrilling story! I have to agree with Shelley from Raleigh, NC and say Drew Bott did an outstanding job with his narration. Clean editing, great voices (his southern female voice was great!) and he added the perfect amount of emotion. Drew has a deeper voice that's easy on the ears and his several voices are very well done. No crazy, falsetto female voices!
The story is very good with believable characters and real emotions. It's obvious Tom Threadgill uses an editor as there were zero grammatical errors or stilted dialogue between characters. It is easy to sit down and just listen to. It does leave you at each chapter end wanting to jump right into the next one.
And the ending!! I did NOT see that coming! Just a superbly written story!
Clean listen. Not one curse word or sexual reference. The violence in the book is described in a manner that you know what's going on but Mr. Threadgill leaves out the gratuitous gory details. My opinion is you can listen with kids in the car and not worry about having to explain something uncomfortable. That is the mark of a great author - telling a story so well that you don't need to have sex or low-brow language prop it up.
I would listen to it again. Great narration by Mr. Bott brings the story to life! Well done Tom Threadgill!

Creston Mapes was a great book and I'm not much of a book person, I couldn't put this book down. it was easy to listen to and to follow the narration by Drew Bott was crisp and clear exceptional narration. I gave this 5 stars because Creston Mapes is a must listen to book for anyone
