I thought the movie adaptation almost ruined the legacy of this series but ignoring the movie, the books and storyline just keeps getting better.

6 book in a row about how evil the US is because they are racist, capitalist & climate change deniers. He even brings this up on another world where they know nothing about earth but he somehow finds a way to constantly throw jabs about how awful the US is. Returned all 6 books I bought. Would rather read books about actual LITRPG that don’t try to crowbar their personal politics in it.

Great book minus the "harem" part

I have to admit that I didn't know what harem was before this series. I picked up the first book because the story line about "leveling up" is something I like. The story continues seamlessly and is a great addition. The only part I couldn't stand was the numerous graphic sex scenes. More than the first book and seemingly at the most inopportune times. I mean, in the middle of a mission where the heroes were captured and the students are all that's left to save them and the day decide it's a good time to have an impromptu orgy. I fast forwarded past all of these scenes, which was probably 45 minutes of the book. Other than those scenes being forced, I had to keep in mind that this is part of the harem lit so I'm judging it based on story line and narration, which were both great.

Get Ready For A Kinder Gentler Stark

First let me say that I loved this series up to this book. The book promises more “Supernatural ass-kicking” but unfortunately spends over 8 hours with Stark having conversations with himself and constantly correcting himself for using the wrong pronoun when thinking about his new girlfriend/theyfriend?. This seems forced considering in the other books this person didn’t have any special requests to be talked about in the 3rd person. Nonetheless Stark is now in love and spends the entire book arguing with himself because he can’t remember to think about this person using the right pronouns. He also spends the same first 8 hours whining because this person is mad at him all the time until the last 45 minutes or so when there’s a short anticlimactic fight that ensues. Just a terrible addition to what was one of my favorite series. This book went back and I suggest anyone that reads this take a pass. You’ll thank me later.

Amazing Follow-up

Waited a very long time for the follow-up. It was well worth the wait. Between the Superpowerds and Villains Code series Drew Hayes is right up there as one of my favorite authors. This one had a great story and great narration. Looking forward to book 3...

Another great Scot Harvath story

I absolutely love this story line. Every book is as good or better than the last. This one ended a little quick. Wish it would have gone on a little longer. Can’t wait for the next Scot Harvath adventure.

Can’t remove from my phone

I subscribed to these and decided they weren’t for me. I tried to unsubscribe or just delete them and there’s no option to unsubscribe. These can’t be deleted either. I contacted Audible support and they claimed to fix it but the next day they were back. Just irritating.

Never really takes off

I was hoping to love this book. It started off really good but never really materialized into the great story I was hoping for. I gave it 5 ⭐️ because I don’t feel I should punish the author for me not liking his book. You may like it, but I didn’t.

Another Masterpiece

Another great book in the C&C series. The zombies out of nowhere made no sense though, but I won't be harsh. Can't wait for Book 5!!!!!
