Brandon always cutting people as deeply as he can with a serrated blade… man I love your books, but I hate it when they hurt me.

Loved the idea to use such a theme as the basis of this book, beginning middle and end I enjoyed it. I thought the love triangle, if you can call it that, left a LOT to be desired. I disliked the dated pop culture references and I could not stand the fact he gave the names sterling and archer to characters because all I could think of constantly was the Tv show Archer and neither of the characters has any resemblance to that character. The narrator has an excellent voice but needs work with accents and consistency.

This book was like pulling teeth, the first book in the series was great, such a fascinating idea to use pictures at an exhibition as the basis for a landscape but the love “triangle” if you can call it that was weak and continued through out the trilogy. The female children, Isabella and Rachel, were essentially the same character but just called mommy to different people. The detective lost his accent, the main character of this book was just the main character of the first book but now with a the opposite set of genitals. I really enjoyed the first book and wish I would have stopped there. Additionally, there is so much reference to outdated pop culture it’s really awkward and constant things like “from one of x’s favorite shows blah blah blah” seem to really ruin what world building has been done. One of my absolute least favorite moments was when “research” was just haphazardly thrown in dialogue by Anthony in this book and no mention of him actually going to do research was ever presented.

I hate to be critical of others work, I’m no writer and I bet I couldn’t do what Mr. Kennedy did and does as a doctor, but I’m a reader and unfortunately this one just did not measure up.

Has some CISSP information, but...

Its not narrated well and I feel as the author WAY over simplified every aspect of what CISSP is meant to be. If CISSP was a cross walk that was 6 feet long, this would be about 3 inches of information. Its not worth the money and I do not recommend it. I do appreciate that it offers a PDF though and is a benefit working in its favor. The narrator of the book should have been instructed about some of the words and acronyms pronunciation instead of having to guess at it. I'll be finishing the book, but as of 50 minutes in, its horrible.

What a roller coaster of a book, excellently written and amazing overall. You won’t be disappointed after you get through all of the world building.
