The classic dog story Stickeen is John Muir's account of what happened on an Alaskan glacier with a little dog named Stickeen. One day, Muir went exploring a large glacier during a blizzard, with Stickeen in tow. They became stranded, and the only way out was across a precarious ice bridge. Both man and dog escaped, and this triumph changed Stickeen from a rather aloof canine into a devoted companion. Muir called his adventure with Stickeen "the most memorable of all my wild days”, and wrote that the little dog enlarged his life by extended its boundaries.

Great Narration and Wonderful Message

Narration is crisp, clear, and well versed. Content is not bad either. I'm sure there are other titles with similar messages, but Lisa's voice makes this title an easy listen. Her personality shows through, which I believe is necessary for a good audio book.

Could Have Been a Wonderful Read

This book describes women's lack of recognition beautifully. If you have ever been in a room with "that guy" or "that girl" who is sexist, you will love this book. Normalize the expectation that society listen to women's opinions!
However, I got lost in the chapter about politics. This is a very anti Trump book and there are about two hours of this content towards the end. Politics is just not my thing, because it is a so very obviously broken system. There is some great growth focused content towards the end and this encompasses the politics of being a woman well. I just skipped the chapters calling out specific men and went straight for the actionable content .
