Historia
It happens more than you might think. One second someone’s life is totally typical, the next it’s terribly tragic. Everything they had, everything they planned, everything they were, all of it vanishes in a flash. Shock and sorrow leave the victim staring into tomorrow’s void, wondering: How did it happen? Who did it? And why?

Hate to say great story since it was a tragic time in the authors life but so glad he shared. Truly a heroic man who did everything for his family.

Just NO, I have been deer & elk hunting and I definitely don't need a detailed play by play on someone butchering a deer in an audiobook.

5 stars for an original & entertaining story
Revisado: 09-26-23
I expected an entertaining original story and I got it with this book. If you're expecting a super realistic story of what the GENERAL public could achieve in the same sinerio you probably wouldn't enjoy this book as much since the GENERAL public wouldn't be able to hack into FBI, CIA or other secure sites.

Larry Ray and the students at Sarah Lawrence Uni..
Revisado: 03-21-23
It took me a while to figure out where I'd heard a similar story, then I remembered the Sarah Lawrence students who were brainwashed by the father (Larry Ray) of one of the girls. It was difficult to make myself keep listening but it turned out to be just entertaining enough to finish.

Enjoyed this story
Revisado: 08-16-22
I liked this "dreamy" story, one of those where EVERYTHING turns out in the best possible way which is fine but would never really happen. Narrator was really good except when he used Antonia & Antonio interchangeably for one male character.

Historia
Happy Doll is a charming, if occasionally inexpert, private detective living just one sheer cliff drop beneath the Hollywood sign with his beloved half-Chihuahua half-Terrier, George. A veteran of both the Navy and LAPD, Doll supplements his meager income as a P.I. by working through the night at a local Thai spa that offers its clients a number of special services. Armed with his 16-inch steel telescopic baton, biting dry humor, and just a bit of a hero complex, the ex-cop sets out to protect the women who work there from clients who have trouble understanding the word "no".

Revisado: 06-17-22
The 1st time I started the book I was not in the right mindset for a somewhat monotonous male narrator so I stopped almost immediately and went to another selection. After about a month and a few books later I gave it another shot and I really enjoyed the book.

Decent story, narrator made me want to skip ahead.
Revisado: 05-15-22
Narrator was pretty good except for her representation of the young child. It was so irritating it made me want to skip ahead to avoid listening to it. The other annoyance was in the last chapter when the mother is screaming for her child. It was over the top with the actual screaming over and over and over, through my airpods it about ruptured my eardrums before I could lower the volume.
