A thorough book highlighting a portion of the insanity brought on by deplorable characters trying to further their fake reality.

Fani Willis is a major badass and hero charging against the ever-frustrating, anti-American injustices happening throughout this country, IMO.

Narration was excellent

This family story and wonderful narration were truly engaging. I especially loved the feminine power in living, loving and unconditional hope theme.

I've enjoyed the narrator in other books and decided to read this book because of her.

Enjoyable escape and excellent narration

I easily became immersed in this enjoyable story as it highlighted the beauties of every-day romance, summoning up courage and tackling important issues. It made me smile, a lot, and even made me tear up.

I can see myself reading it again and definitely will recommend.

Cassidy Hutchinson's account is astounding

What a remarkable young lady; Hopefully one who can continue to make a bipartisian difference to the American people.

Ms. Hutchinson's testimony regarding Trump's "stop the steel" "behavior", her eventual January 6 committee truths, will stay with me a long time. I appreciated her insights and understand her need to preserve her republican beliefs explanations, personal history and all.

With that said, the book did not touch upon, highlight or even elude to much of the Trump campaigning and administration chaos otherwise. Hutchinson's Enough did little justice to the enough I am seeking of this chaos.

There are definitely other books for that I suppose.

Could not stop listening

I could not stop listening; and, I needed the book to end. That's how intense this book was for me. The powerful theme of Pretty Girls left me raw and feeling vulnerable because of how realistic the subject matter is in general (regardless of how extreme these characters might seem).

I will definitely read books written by Karen Slaughter again, but with intermissions. This much heart pounding is enough for a while. It's hard to image all her books would not be as well written, thought provoking, and engrossing as this one.

I enjoyed this book and finished easily. The flow was smooth and the characters so well defined.
The Winco's lives, situations, and their connections to the world evoked understanding of how things come about for people and how things could happen to anyone given the right mix of circumstances, only after pondering how some things do happen in life.

A summer to always remember

A summer like no other and the memories of it will linger, soothe and ground.

I love the women characters. All of them. Whether their deep souls or vibrant passions or both.

I love the birds opening each chapter.

I love the coyotes and bugs and goats and plants and trees...oh my!

The humor was so very caressing, a gift.

Yes, I too will relisted to Prodigal Summer. I kept relistening to certain passages simply for the beauty of the graceful wording.

Audible has been a new part of my life for a few years now and I love the escape and worldly journeys I experience through this new way of "reading". Prodigal Summer is truly icing on the cake of this experience.

The narration alone earns 5+ rating

This is a beautiful story with beautiful narration. I could visualize beyond the words easily and was calmed and engrossed from beginning to end.
For me, I am reminded that the great truths of our hearts, when expressed, when considered, when recalled, when shared and when defined, make living so deeply significant.

Loved this trilogy

Waited until I was finished with all three books to review. I did not see the movie.
I like the interesting story lines
that provided me with the escape and suspense I enjoyed for about five straight days.
