Just a waste of time
Revisado: 05-16-21
I decided not to finish this one. Same argument over and over again. I have no more time for this. At first, it was fun listening to this, though.
The main female character is indecisive, weak, and unfaithful. Usually, I enjoy and like the length of Ms. Ashley's works because that means I can be in the world of the book long. For this one, I didn't understand why this is so unnecessarily long and got tired of its length.
As for the narrator, it is almost comical that her tone is so flat and making mistakes so many times in switching from a female character to a male character. Maybe she is so bored of going on reading this book. Kind of understandable. She is surprisingly unenthusiastic and unprofessional.
I am pretty sad that this book turned out to be trash. Well, I didn't like the first of the 'Burg" series and I should have known better. Now I am done with this series. This one tells me that at least, thank you.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

I've never thought I would come to like "Rocky"
Revisado: 05-13-21
this much. I'd been listening to this wonderful story a little bit more than a week, going back and forth, back and forth. But today I finally finished listening. I am so glad to know and listen to this story, but so sad that I finished listening. I just wanted to keep listening to this story. Sad, sad, sad! But I am sure that I will listen to meet Ryland and Rocky again.
I really like Mark and enjoyed my stay at the Mars with Mark but Ryland felt more familiar and closer to myself. For The Martian, I liked the printed book version better than the audiobook because I experienced how quiet the Mars was while reading the book. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audiobook, especially the interaction between Ryland and Rocky. This book is also about life and full of scientific topics.
Mr. Weir, thank you so much once again for your great work, mind, and heart. Mr. Porter, thank you very much for your performance that brought life to all the characters.
Yes, this is another best book from Mr. Weir!!!

Historia
Cassie Taylor was just another acting student with big dreams at her prestigious performing arts college…then she met Ethan Holt. She was the good girl actress. He was the bad boy on campus. But one fated casting choice for Romeo and Juliet changed it all. Like the characters they were playing on stage, Cassie and Ethan's epic romance seemed destined. Until it ended in tragedy when he shattered her heart. Now they've made it to Broadway where they're reunited as romantic leads once again.

Why "Romeo and Juliet!?
Revisado: 12-31-20
This story has almost nothing to do with "Romeo and Juliet." The heroine is just a horny and stupid smoker. Even a wonderful narrator like Ms. Arndt cannot give any depth to something as shallow and empty as this book. I don't care what happens to this couple in the sequel. I have no more time or money to waste on this series.

Much of the layperson's knowledge of the brain is predicated on a lack of understanding about this mysterious organ. To start building a more straightforward, accurate understanding of current breakthroughs in neuroscience, you have to start by shattering popular brain myths.

This course was very informative with a wide variety of topics. I really want to listen to Professor Viskontas's performance as a opera singer! A very important message I received from this course is that the brain is a product of experiences though it is biologically limited and it is up to us how we live with this ever changing brains!

Historia
Sir John Penlyon is planning to spend Christmas at his estate with his niece and his friend Danby, the closest thing he has to family since disowning his daughter years ago. (She eloped with the parson, who was, of course, penniless.) Danby suggests that at Christmastime the estate needs the presence of small children, and offers to find some - the “hirelings” - despite Sir John’s skepticism. Three children duly arrive, and the youngest, precocious four year-old Moppet, quickly endears herself to Sir John.

Revisado: 12-21-20
There is nothing new about this story. Yes, also predictable but I really looked forward to how Sir John would find out the truth about the 3 children and a reunion would be made while listening. Mr. Armitage's performance is utterly brilliant! So, this story should be listened to rather than to be read, I think. Thank you very much for a wonderful audio book. Recently, I've been listening to free Christmas programs provided by Audible and this is the best so far!

Following the God's way,
Revisado: 12-19-20
What I really liked about this book is that Rose kept following the God's way when it was very tempting to give in the arrangement planned by a man (well, a very nice, wonderful man). It may be very difficult and easy to say but still, it is the best way to follow God's will when you really want something.

But there's something he's not prepared for - a blue envelope with his name scrawled across the front in Natalie's handwriting, waiting for him on the floor of their suburban Michigan home.

Not what I expected.
Revisado: 12-19-20
This story was about Luke and Natalie and that's fine but I wished it was more about Luke and his kids after his wife's death and how they rebuilt the family without an very important factor that is a wife and a mother. In this sense, this book was a disappointment for me. Also, this book contains too much topics for one book. It would have been much better if the story had focused on the new situation of a father and children without their great wife and mother in my opinion.

This book told me how it is difficult to appreciate what you already have. Justine's ex husband was so stupid and selfish but I am glad that it turned out fine even for him in the end. I wish this book was longer because I wanted to spend more time with people in this book.

I am so glad that I live in the 21st century.
Revisado: 12-19-20
This book was much more realistic than I thought. The position in which women in the 19th century were situated is unacceptable from the 21st century's point of view. I really thank every person who fought and did his/her best for woman's rights as an independent and respectable person and an equal to a man. I liked Patrick's formality toward Eve because I thought it was his way to show his respect for Eve to me. The 2 very important doctors were wonderful. I am very glad to have listened to this story.

Nick Winters and Noel Carter have known each other their whole lives. After years of shared family holidays, working together on the Winters’ Christmas tree farm, and being each other's safe haven, they wouldn't dream of crossing the line from friends to something more.... But when Nick comes home for the holidays after serving overseas and finds that his long-term girlfriend has decided to get her stocking stuffed elsewhere, Noel is there to pick him up and show him that instead of a Blue Christmas he can still have a Wonderful Christmastime without his cheating ex.

Revisado: 12-19-20
This book contains many things about life. I wonder if Noel and Amber will become real good friends after this book. Usually, I don't like when a heroine gets provoked by her enemy because that's the proof for immaturity and weakness. But in this book, Noel's annoyance and Amber's hostility toward each other are understandable and interesting. They are quite opposite and think the other has something they don' have. I didn't think this book was romantic comedy. It is more serious in many good ways.
