Probably one of the best books I've heard. Well written and compelling, as quite a few historical books are not. I enjoyed this and learnt a lot. Hope you enjoy it.

Dont bother buying this. I I love Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart.He's missing from this. I'm referring to Nicholas Courtenenay. This was an extension form the series which should have just stopped when he passed away.IMO.

Despite the wrong content list, this is series 3 and 4. I already bought the first two series and hesitated to buy this when it was released but it's fine. More classic comedy. Enjoy.

ANTI-SPOILER alert! The first two tracks are out of order. The Prodigal Son, Track 2, announces itself as the first episode of a new detective series.
Listen to that one first.
Otherwise very enjoyable series. I went on to buy them all. They bear a second or third listen, spaced a few years apart.
If you like this, try Charles Paris, by the same writer. Much more humour in those books and more enjoyable, in my view.

Misleading for who fans

I'm writing this review before I return this book. From the description, it seems to be one long book featuring the third Doctor. Which is why I bought this. Its actually several doctors stories,starting with Jon Pertwee. after that its Peter Davidson who single-handedly brought down the show with his terrible acting, Then John Baker,, equally useless, and the that Mcgann bloke. wow. beyond parody. Awful. I am 53 and grew up with the early doctors, just to give you my sense of perspective.It just reminded me personally of how bad they got, after tom Baker.. the best ever Doctor.IMHO. .. Mc Gann reading a book? wow, can't even act. Or narrate.

I'm 50 and a life-long (Londoner living in PA, but that is irrelevant), Who fan....I have to admit that I've never liked the first doctor. I went out on a limb and tried this book. It had good reviews. BTW, For the 50th anniversary, there is a new sequence of books available. I purchased the first few books and The third doctor story was good and inspired me to buy another Audiobook. This one. Unfortunately, for 90% of this story, these preconceptions were confirmed. The first two hours is like being trapped in a room full of illogical people arguing.( I understand that this is the plot). Because they are beloved characters, it was quite upsetting. I was waiting for the plot to resolve for far too long..Very frustrating. Without wishing to spoil the plot, the ending was a bit silly and not worth the mental effort for arriving there.
Worse than reversing the polarity. I almost asked for a refund, but for the chance to share this personal review.
This is just my perspective and I felt cheated by this story.. . If other Dr Who fans enjoy this, then I admire you. You must find good in everything.
Just my tuppence worth.
