Historia
In addition to being among the most celebrated of contemporary filmmakers, Quentin Tarantino is possibly the most joyously infectious movie lover alive. For years he has touted in interviews his eventual turn to writing books about films. Now, with Cinema Speculation, the time has come, and the results are everything his passionate fans—and all movie lovers—could have hoped for. Organized around key American films from the 1970s, all of which he first saw as a young moviegoer at the time, this book is as intellectually rigorous and insightful as it is rollicking and entertaining.

Please stop adding these annoying ringing sounds between chapters. I can’t emphasize enough how unreadable that makes these recordings.

Aristotle, Plato, Descartes, to name a few; they all shared such a wise and unique way of thinking, with the continuous pursuit to challenge conventional knowledge and thought processes, believing you should always question everything. They believed that for one to become fully realised, you must first begin to look inside and reflect on yourself and your thoughts.

Historia
Over the last 30 years, the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies has grown from a small group of disaffected conservative law students into an organization with extraordinary influence over American law and politics. Although the organization is unknown to the average citizen, this group of intellectuals has managed to monopolize the selection of federal judges, take over the Department of Justice, and control legal policy in the White House.

The science in the title refers to the actual science of giving and receiving feedback. The art refers to the concrete illustrations of how this is done and recommendations for practices to incorporate into your daily life.

Historia
In The Righteous Mind, social psychologist Jonathan Haidt explores the origins of our divisions and points the way forward to mutual understanding. His starting point is moral intuition - the nearly instantaneous perceptions we all have about other people and the things they do. These intuitions feel like self-evident truths, making us righteously certain that those who see things differently are wrong. Haidt shows us how these intuitions differ across cultures, including the cultures of the political left and right.

Historia
All the Pretty Horses, the first volume of the Borders Trilogy, tells of young John Grady Cole, the last of a long line of Texas ranchers. Across the border Mexico beckons; beautiful and desolate, rugged and cruelly civilized. With two companions, he sets off on an idyllic, sometimes comic adventure, to a place where dreams are paid for in blood.

Performance leaves much to be desired.
Revisado: 08-26-16
As a long time Cormac McCarthy fan, and somebody who has read the entire Border Trilogy several times, I was extremely disappointed with the performer's delivery of the dialogue and the internal monologues. For an example of someone who clearly understands the voices McCarthy writes into his stories, look at Tommy Lee Jones' performances in No Country for Old Men or The Sunset Limited. In the former, for example, we hear Jones' character's internal monologue even as we watch events that do not involve him unfold. It's very powerful, but the only reason it works is because Jones doesn't even need to be in the frame to play his character because he has so thoroughly mastered his voice.
One is reminded of the moment in Oscar Wilde's trial for writing indecent literature when the prosecuting attorney reads aloud from some of Wilde's work and then asks him to state for the record whether they were, in fact, his words. Wilde's reply: "Not as you read them, sir, for you read them quite badly."
I suspect Cormac might feel the same way about Mr. Muller's work.
