Historia
The second volume of Metallica's definitive biography opens as the band breaks through to mainstream with its fifth album, Metallica (a.k.a. The Black Album), topping the Billboard charts and its hit single "Enter Sandman" dominating the airwaves. By 1993, after a two-year tour, Metallica had become the biggest hard-rock band in the world. Success naturally brought new challenges, and the band ran the risk of alienating its original fans.

selfish Sammy
Revisado: 04-23-21
Good book about Sammy. But hearing this book and listen to the whole thing I was like yep this is a good story but there's only one thing I couldn't stand how selfish Sammy is. And everything his first wife went through he acts like oh he did this great kindness for her it's called saying I do for better or worse. But the crap he did to her and his 5-year-old son at that time on Christmas night driving to San Francisco from Big Sur he didn't want to see her or his son so he gets his mistress who's his wife today and we ducked out on her and his kid and went to SFO with that mistress. That's exactly what she was just a mistress at that time she knew he was married but in their minds it's okay to fuck around because my first wife is crazy today we call that mental health issues so shame on Sammy. as far as I'm concerned he didn't give her enough he should have gave at least 50 million with his $120 to $30 million so selfish and self absorb is how I see Sammy now But a good book.

Historia
In 1967, as the new sound of rock and roll was taking over popular music, John Byrne Cooke was at the center of it all. As a member of D.A. Pennebaker’s film crew, he witnessed the astonishing breakout performances of Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix at the Monterey Pop Festival that June. Less than six months later, he was on a plane to San Francisco, taking a job as road manager for Janis and her band, Big Brother and the Holding Company. From then on, Cooke was Joplin’s road manager amid a rotating cast of musicians and personnel, a constant presence behind the scenes as the woman called Pearl took the world by storm.

this book was not about Janice all about John.
Revisado: 02-22-21
well if you think this book is going to be about Janice very little of it is. this dude John is all about me he starts to talk about Janice for maybe 2 minutes and a chapter each chapter then he starts talking about himself and what he did and.these guys always feel so left out what was me I'm important no the stars are the singers the band That's how all these guys feel so he wrote a book about himself it sucked I thought I was going to hear about Janice he talked about her for a couple minutes then he moves on to talk about his precious little self so don't get this book if you want to learn anything about Janice pass this book up. he want a good book and know about the person themselves David Bowie's book, Buddy Guy's book, Peter Grant's book That's a real good one about led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughan's book,, red hot chili peppers,. so save your money or your credit and get one of those if you want some good listening But this shit if I had the actual book I would throw it in the fire,...

a great book for a blues fan.
Revisado: 02-12-21
this is a great book I love buddy story from the beginning to the end. he talks about so many different great blues people that he's played with are love to play with muddy Waters Johnny Lee Hooker b.b King and of course Stevie Ray Vaughan and his brother Jimmy Good chapter there about Stevie but it was sad to hear it. seeing buddy guy many of times with Eric Clapton b.b King Johnny Lane but I never saw him with Stevie that would have been so great Stevie's life was cut short forever miss. I love how buddy how's love for his family and always I'm very much a gentleman. this whole book was amazing and I want to say thank you Buddy Guy for writing this book.
