Historia
Alice Wright marries handsome American Bennett Van Cleve hoping to escape her stifling life in England. But small-town Kentucky quickly proves equally claustrophobic, especially living alongside her overbearing father-in-law. So, when a call goes out for a team of women to deliver books as part of Eleanor Roosevelt’s new traveling library, Alice signs on enthusiastically. The leader, and soon Alice's greatest ally, is Margery, a smart-talking, self-sufficient woman who's never asked a man's permission for anything.

Enjoyed this book very much. It was hard to put it down. The reader did an excellent job of showing each character so that the listener could feel themselves to be right there.

very powerful story.
Revisado: 07-02-17
Trevor's story was deeply and moving as he shared his experiences with his mother's unequivocal love and fierce determination to raise her sons in apartheid South Africa, as well as his own experiences growibg up as a. "colored child" neither fully black nor white, but trying to navigate between both worlds.

Historia
Of especially naughty children, it is sometimes said: “They must have been raised by wolves.” The Incorrigible children actually were. Discovered in the forests of Ashton Place, the Incorrigibles are no ordinary children: Alexander keeps his siblings in line with gentle nips; Cassiopeia has a bark that is (usually) worse than her bite; and Beowulf is alarmingly adept at chasing squirrels.
