Is it just me or did the New Orleans Order Sect Leader's name change from David to Daniel in this installment. Hmmm. Maybe its just me.
I really don't appreciate a promised trilogy expanding to other installments to conclude the story. That is not a Trilogy. smh.
Other than that, I enjoyed the story.

I read the reviews before purchasing this book. And I almost missed out on this refreshing story.
I really don't get the terrible comments about the male narrator.
This was a good story. And both voices were exceptional. Tones and sounds are personal I guess. we like what we like and hate what we hate. One of my favorite author uses a voice that I hate. But thats not the case with this series. I enjoyed every minute of this audio book.
I hope no one else misses out on this series because of those bad comments about the male voice.

Christine tackles some pretty heavy material

I think I am justified in saying I expected more. I have read every novel written by Christine Feehan. I love most of them and she still remains on my top 10 Authors list. But...
The stories are merging into one. They are getting a feel that once you've read 5, you've read them all.
This story is about an enforcer for a biker gang meeting a woman on the run for her life. That's fine. But...
He is the same generic character. He refuses to change. He would not bend or compromise and the female has to adjust to and take all that comes her way, with grace and no complaints. That's not relatable. There is no resistance from her. They have not changed or grown throughout the entire novel. And him accepting her more intimate touch does not count as character growth. They don't have the expected responses to stimuli.
It was a bit boring and took me a really long time to finish. Two weeks. I even fell asleep. I have never fell asleep to a Christine Feehan novel. and to think that I already preordered the next book in the series.
I just want more human interactions and responses from the characters. Some reprecussions for making bad choices and for hurting people. We already know it will have an happy ending but I dont need that thrown in my face from chapter 5 of a 21 chapter novel. I would have wanted to worry a bit if Reaper would have been forgiven for his numerous transgressions.
