Historia
In this classic American adventure, Jack London explores the laws of civilization and wilderness - and the pull of instinct - through the eyes of Buck, a half Saint Bernard, half Scottish shepherd. London drew on his own experiences as a prospector in the Canadian wilderness, as well as the philosophies of Charles Darwin and Friedrich Nietzsche, for this enduring tale of survival.

Historia
Mackenzie Allen Phillips' youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation, and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later, in this midst of his great sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack one wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change his life forever.

This book is life changing!
Revisado: 03-01-17
I read the book " Dinner with a perfect stranger" by David Gregory. His book made me ask myself...is this what I think? Left me wanting more information.
The Shack gave me the insight to what I'd been searching for. Let me understand my childhood and loss of my precious grandson.
After loosing my grandson, I was very bitter, angry , and screaming at God...WHY..WHY.. you could of answered 100's of prayers that went up September 1995.
Then 2006 when I hit rock bottom and the only way out was to look up. God started a miraculous journey with me.
But, The Shack has truly helped me see things better.
Thank you Paul and your friends and family for your journey to get the book done.
Paul, you and your team could not of done this if each of you had not known what the gentle whisper of God was saying..thank ya'll for listening.
Wishing each of you and your families health, peace, and happiness.

OMG!! THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ.
Revisado: 12-13-16
I truly believe if you are a foster parent, OR if you are thinking about being one, you should be MADE to read this book.
I also believe if you work in social services, you should be MADE to read this book.
The language does get graphic at times.
Lastly, if you are a teenager, please, think about your words and actions toward foster children.
Thank you Regina for this Eye opening book. Wishing you and your family health, peace and happiness.

It's 1998, and for years the old First Bank of Cleveland has sat abandoned, perfectly preserved, its secrets only speculated on by the outside world. Twenty years before, amid strange staff disappearances and allegations of fraud, panicked investors sold Cleveland's largest bank in the middle of the night, locking out customers and employees and thwarting a looming federal investigation. In the confusion that followed, the keys to the vault's safe-deposit boxes were lost.
