Great tale!

Great tale, great narration. Hazel and Christian are a great team. The story took me about a chapter to get what was going on but after that it flowed well and the story was rather addicting.
Interesting side note, with this cold bomb generational cyclone thing hitting the US hard right now, woke up early to make sure the fire was going strong in case of a power outage from the storm. So spent the morning finishing up the book on the couch staring lazily at the fire when I did in fact lose power for a bit, Added a few logs and was fine until it came back on. So, I never thought i would say this, but an audio book may have just actually saved me from freezing to death!

So, I love Han Yang. But I have to admit it was a little weird for me reading a male authors take on a female MC POV. Sometimes they can be tricky for guys to pull off. My opinion, he did flawlessly (though I am not a woman to be sure). Further, this was not an attempt to get into the inclusion politics that has been big lately. Which, i have to admit has become annoying from much of our media lately. Not that there is inclusion, but how much they keep pushing it at us by talking about it. Its not a big deal at all in this book, just simply is, which I find very refreshing. Reminded me of the Top Gun remake, you had a diverse cast, but they didnt harp on it to remind us all the time. I appreciate that.

So now that I have probably offended someone, I will continue. The story is solid, the characters of great. But the voice acting is outstanding. Very well done and she could lull you into that haze of just listening along one minute, then change the range and have you gripping the edge of your seat the next (not recommended if operating a motor vehicle by the way).

Overall, I cant recommend it enough and think you should give it a shot.

such a great concept. Slice of life but with a very interesting twist. Jessica is awesome as always. Highly recommended, just dont look for solving for world peace, This is a fun time with fun times.

Great series, only disappointed because it’s over. Voice narrators knocked it out of the park and brought the story to life. Well done.

Great second installment. loved the continued character development and the voice actors were great. Alyssa is the best Voice Actress! lets go number 3!

Brilliant series all in one place. The male actor is phenomenal. I started this one on ebook with book 1 a while back when we were still locked down and enjoyed, but then started day working again when COVID lessened and ran out of reading time (switched to audible). Saw this pop in my feed and this just got me through two full workdays and their commutes. Started at book 2 (since I read book 1) and loved it! The last book blew my mind on how he got all that story development in there.

Not sure, but why the hate from others? It was a good book, good voice actors. Enjoyed the whole thing. I highly recommend it to anyone in the genre and is a good addition to it.

This audible was recommended to me and it was a solid listen. The voice actors were great and did the characters smoothly, easily transitioning from person to person so you could feel each character speak. The story itself is a portal fantasy that puts the MC in a world that is all about conflict to survive. LITrpg elements all over the place but not so much that you spend more time studying build out then actually enjoying plot.

I highly recommend this audible, long listen and very entertaining.

great apocalypse tale.

Story was a unique take on the apocalypse, good build up, great background from the MC. Author for sure has a military background based on some of the things discussed. World as he knew it ends, new rules must be followed. Book has base building,,very detailed base building. I really enjoy world building and this one does a great job of that. It adds to the overall story line and makes it feel more visceral. I don't want to ruin the story too much but the Main and supporting characters are great; the storyline itself is excellent.

The narrators are new to me, I have not heard them before that I can remember, but they deliver on the story and make it come alive. Good duo and I will be happy to listen to more of their work in the future.

Highly recommended audiobook.
