Didn’t love the finale

Loved book one and two of this series but this one get like it was drawn out with a lot of fluff and unnecessary over the top drama and kind of left me disappointed after reading the first two and loving both. Also by the third book the narrators voice kind of got of my nerves and actually started making me dislike Layla.

Started out good but turned into a DNF

This one started off strong for me, my heart broke for these two characters and the author truly sucked me in with her words and their tragic story.

Sadly though this story lost its realistic touch and the tragic heartbreaking story turned kind of cheesy for me so and I became disconnected from the characters and their stories and at 48% decided enough was enough and decided to go no further Whig really saddens me as so many people have raved about this book and I have loved everything I have read so far by this surge

Was just an okay story

I really love this authors work and writing style was very excited to see she had a hickey romance. I am a huge lover of hockey and hockey romances are my #1 go to read, but I am also very picky about them because of that.

I had a lot of issues with little things on this book that ended up minding of ruining my overall enjoyment. My biggest pet peeve about people writing sports romances is that they don’t know anything about the sport and y second pet peeve is people who write a sports romance but really don’t include the actual sport, the only thing that makes is a sport romance is that a lead character is an athlete. For example, these are professional hickey players, so NHL even though it doesn’t say they are NHL and there is a part in the story where they are in the locker room and one of them closes their locker door, have you ever seen a hockey locker that has a door, NOPE.

Also for me I found this story to be really cheesy at times and get very unrealistic, um 24 year old virgin that never states why she is still a virgin at 24 and so many things to event point out for him and how I struggled to even think of him as a pro hickey player

And then the build up of it coming out to her brother about them was such a let down.

Overall this one was just not good, not sure why I keep listening, well at least it passed some time

Touching story

I enjoyed this one and kept me engaged, was different from my normal lighter read but still a good read, end was a bit so so but for the most part book was really enjoyable

Cute story

Great story but wish this was doe in duet not dual

I am a lover of Lisa Renee Jones' books, there are always the perfect read. The characters are well developed, with the male being the perfect mixture of Alpha with tenderness. I love her females as well, the are never weak annoying damsel in distress types. and She always adds the perfect amount of suspense along with the perfect amount of hotness.

I must say I am loving this whole network or characters. Love that we are seeing a bit more of Reid and Cat and Mia and Grayson plus add in the Walker boys in the background, and I think that is why I love this series so much, it's like one great big family or TV series, each one focusing on a specific story.

I loved Gabe, he comes off as the cold alpha never going to marry or fall in love male who quickly finds himself in new territory with Abbie. He's powerful, and can be cold and calculating but with Abbie and as well Dexter we see a totally softer and much warmer Gabe. I really love Abbie's character,, she's strong and independent, with a bit of sassiness to her.. These two from the start had the spark and the chemistry was quickly off the charts. I love the dynamic the author built with this couple

I loved the storyline, once again the author has added the suspense while keeping the romance to the story. The only thing with this one, I found at times it a bit too heavy on the sex, and would have loved to see the story focus more on the story. There were many times I would have preferred to see less detail or it go black and spend more time with the story than the sex. Normally this author has the perfecdt amount of sex to story in her books but the past two books found it way to sex heavy and it really took away from the story for me and had me skimming.

Overall a really great read but warning, have book two ready as this one leaves you hanging.

I enjoyed the narrators but would have loved it more had it been duet and not dual, the female narrator drove me nuts when she did Gabes parts in a male voice

Just an okay conclusion to Lori and Cole’s story

I loved Lori and Cole’s story and couldn’t wait to get more of them. Sadly this one was just ok for Me, didn’t have that same spark the first book had. Didn’t love the narrators for this one, and I think that may have played into my overall feeling of their story

Really loved the characters and the story. Loved the narrator for his parts, not so much for the female parts, would have been better if those parts were done by female and the portion of the book that were just texting with female lead was a bit annoying for the audio version and confusing at first
