Historia
The Pilgrim's Progress, written by John Bunyan over 300 years ago, is one of the most widely-circulated books ever to be published in the English language. In spite of its popularity in the past, many people today are not familiar with this masterpiece. Join respected pastor and theologian Dr. Derek Thomas as he takes listeners along this allegorical journey, showing that Christians have as much to gain from this book today as they did hundreds of years ago.

An excellent teaching of Pilgrim’s Progress
Revisado: 11-21-22
Derek Thomas is a gifted teacher. He reveals the meanings of the experiences throughout the book of Pilgrims Progress. I learned so much, as he taught, and I found myself wishing this book would not end. His voice and brilliance makes this book come alive. Thank you, Dr. Thomas.

New York, 1888. Gas lamps still flicker in the city streets, but the miracle of electric light is in its infancy. The person who controls the means to turn night into day will make history - and a vast fortune. A young untested lawyer named Paul Cravath, fresh out of Columbia Law School, takes a case that seems impossible to win. This is a great book.
Revisado: 07-11-18
The Last Days of Night is a wonderful book filled with interesting history. It is so well written that I did not want to stop listening, and the narrator was superb. In fact, I have listened to this book twice and will probably do so again.
The book takes place at the end of the 19th century during a time of many new inventions and significant changes in society..The book is based on a legal suit between Thomas Edison and Mr. Westinghouse. I learned so much about both of these intriguing men. Thomas Cravath is the attorney for Mr. Westinghouse, and the book is told from his point of view. He also has an important place in history. Much of the book is based on fact with various small changes to make the story more interesting to the reader. Thank you, Graham Moore, for all of your research, and writing this book. Choosing Jonathan McClain to be the narrator was brilliant, Write some more.

Beautifully written WWll account in Italy
Revisado: 10-13-17
What a suspenseful, sad, beautifully written book about the horrific WWII in Italy. The characters came alive on the pages, and I did not want the story or the narrator to stop. There was so much depth and meaningful thought throughout. I often felt it difficult to listen due to the war crimes, but also felt compelled to go on to find out what would happen. I loved the characters. I felt that I really knew them. I did not know till the end that these were real people in the war -living out this tragedy. Great writer!!!!!!!!! Great narrator!!

Elsa is seven years old and different. Her grandmother is 77 years old and crazy, standing-on-the-balcony-firing-paintball-guns-at-men-who-want-to-talk-about-Jesus crazy. She is also Elsa's best and only friend. At night Elsa takes refuge in her grandmother's stories, in the Land of Almost-Awake and the Kingdom of Miamas, where everybody is different and nobody needs to be normal.

Delightful
Revisado: 04-17-17
I loved this book; however, I am a retired kindergarten teacher. I like children and their wonderful imaginations. This book is not just about children, but about people and their various personalities. People are complicated and Backman brilliantly unlocks their individual stories through the eyes of Elsa , a precocious seven year old --and because of Granny's wonderful stories. I GREATLY enjoyed the narrator. I will listen to this book again.

I'm so glad I listened to this book. I really like the authors style. So many feelings about marriage and family are brought to the forefront. I liked the readers voice, but as someone else wrote, I wish she could have changed her voice a bit for the different character chapters. I do recommend this book.

Historia
Four days before Christmas in 1943, a badly damaged American bomber struggled to fly over wartime Germany. At its controls was a 21-year-old pilot. Half his crew lay wounded or dead. It was their first mission. Suddenly a sleek, dark shape pulled up on the bomber’s tail - a German Messerschmitt fighter. Worse, the German pilot was an ace, a man able to destroy the American bomber with the squeeze of a trigger.

With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war. The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.
