Witty, enjoyable and entertaining. I laughed out loud more than a few times. The inner dialog was priceless.

One of the Unexpected Best!
Revisado: 11-27-21
Loved it! I was engrossed from the beginning and didn't want it to end. Such horrible at atrocities that took place at the hands of the Germans and somehow Italy's story was overlooked? Shameful! Buy it! Read it! You'll thank me later.

We look like a normal couple. We're your neighbors, the parents of your kid's friend, the acquaintances with whom you keep meaning to get dinner. We all have our secrets to keeping a marriage alive. Historia
When Charlotte married the wealthy widower Paul, it caused a ripple of gossip in their small lakeside town. They have a charmed life together, despite the cruel whispers about her humble past and his first marriage. But everything starts to unravel when she discovers a young woman’s body floating in the exact same spot where Paul’s first wife tragically drowned. At first, it seems like a horrific coincidence, but the stranger in the lake is no stranger. Charlotte saw Paul talking to her the day before, even though Paul tells the police he’s never met the woman.

I hated it.
Revisado: 04-02-21
I hated the character. I hated the book. The main character came across as a whiny, I am better than you, judgemental, non empathetic cry baby. Ugh. she made you feel sorry for her husband and that's really incredible. I couldn't wait for the book to be over. I paid my money so I listened. You may like it but it wasn't for me.

Historia
In this book, author and biologist Marcy Houle shares her personal journey of caring for her father, a surgeon, who developed Alzheimer's disease, and later her mother, who succumbed to other medical conditions.Like many children of aging parents, Marcy often felt powerless traveling this sad trajectory - watching them fall through the cracks of a fragmented and confusing healthcare system, where professionals often wrote off their symptoms as "just old age".

Didn't want to read it or listen to it
Revisado: 07-20-20
I have aging parents and I didn't want to deal with this topic so, I started out begrudgingly listening and I finished LOVING IT! I went right out and bought a hard copy! Great, useful info.
