Fantastic LitRPG, One of the Best
Revisado: 12-17-23
Honestly, I waited way too long to pickup Azarinth Healer on Royal Road and I have been beyond impressed with the story. It’s one of the best litrpg’s out there and hits all the best aspects of the genre. The production quality on Audible is great with this series, Andrea P. Is an excellent narrator and fits the character well. Can’t say enough good things about this story, really enjoyable.

Was hoping for a little bit more from this one!
Revisado: 12-03-23
Pretty good narration from Jaime Zubairi, not much to complain about on that front. Story is a lot of mehhh, MC doesn’t have much of a back story, the mandarin and Indian slang doesn’t work for me (though I’m sure there are plenty out there that would enjoy it) but for me it makes the story caught between languages, the MC is a pretty obnoxious know it all even though he gets his ass handed to him in every serious fight. Not sure I’ll make it to the end of this one.

Good Performance muddled by mediocre/poor Story
Revisado: 10-19-23
Good performance by Garrett Brown, no complaints from me. Story leaves much to be desired, I had a hard time getting through each chapter. Joe has no agency and is a complete pushover, it’s somewhat endearing in book 1 but the continuation is book 2 is enough to make me gag. Quite disappointed in how much this story lags behind, nothing much going on.

Pleasantly Surprised
Revisado: 08-03-23
Almost skipped over this gem due to the lackluster publishers summary but I’m glad I gave it a shot. Found the book to be a combination of endearing, comical, and entertaining. MC had depth and author did a good job slowly adding to the world building, already heading to RR for book 2. Kirby Heyborne isn’t my favorite narrator and lacks some variance in his voices but did a good job, his voice fits the MC well.

Taking a break
Revisado: 07-23-23
The first book did enough to keep me intrigued and I liked the authors premise and changes to a standard litrpg. I was most disappointed with the progress made by the MC which didn’t pick up in the 2nd book but slowed down. MC just gets the crap kicked out of him and uses others for help, the whole insanity deal was getting convoluted too. 20 hours of story for an MC to be at level 3. Stepping away from this one, will finish if I find some motivation. Woe is me MC.

Highly Entertaining
Revisado: 06-23-23
Narration was great, the variety of Jeff Hays is always fantastic. Story was a great surprise, not much progression in book 1 but it still kept my attention. I’m expecting great things from Book 2. Side characters have some depth and my only gripe is some of the old man mannerisms / multiple perspectives.

Hard to Listen to
Revisado: 05-20-23
Vikas Adam is usually pretty on the money but pacing of this story is poor. There are tons of awkward silences, pausing between words and sentences, might be a better listen sped up a bit. Can’t say much about the story, mc gets pummeled and walked over but none of it really adds to the story. Cringy commentary

Good performance, story lags a bit
Revisado: 04-05-23
Good performance from Oliver Hembrough, though there are a few long pauses that make some of the narration awkward. Story is alright, doesn’t come with much background information and for the books length you don’t get very far. 10+ hours, 30+ chapters and you barely finish a fight.

Great Narration, story is meh
Revisado: 03-08-23
A little over half way through (12+ hours in) and I think I’ll put it down for now. Pavi Proczko did a great with the narration, as always. The story left much to be desired, long, rambling, and frankly a little boring. MC has no agency, takes orders and makes minimal progress, 12+ hours in and the mc is in the same place fighting the same small skirmishes. His system was more annoying than entertaining and left you without much info, just didn’t hook me. Could probably skip every other chapter and still have a full understanding of what’s going on.
