“If you throw another bucket of water on me, I’m going to stab you with a knife“. This is this females reaction yet she doesn’t “understand why he’s so mad” at the fact that somebody killed the mafia’s mom (her man). WTF?!!!? You can stab someone for a bucket of water but people who do The King wrong or kill his mother shouldn’t be dealt with in a monstrous manner.
Evil men capture her who almost raped her under The King’s home but she’s unscathed when captured for weeks🤔
Drinking some spirit out of a bottle but gets to a club and I never drink and on a light drink is acting as if she’s hammered
Lastly, you know he’s in the mafia. You know that’s how he makes his money. Yet, he needs to change for you and stop killing people who cross him. Shut up woman!!

First: photo does not match character description
Second: poor people in Haiti have help a physician scientist cooking her own food in a one bedroom apartment?!?
What about a cell phone for the doctor? A wall phone in the kitchen. Lol
Third: being taken to domino’s in a country that doesn’t have chain restaurants. There is such a variety
Third: the accent? Really went from sounding Jamaica to Indian mostly British. Think French
Description of the people with braids and dreadlocks? Wrong country
Author should’ve done the homework

Narrative could’ve kept characters identity better

I was looking forward to this story. In fact, I was going to ski the previous in order to get to this trio but decided not to so I wouldn’t miss anything.

If you read my last couple/few reviews, you’ll understand what I mean. Aging and addition😂 was better; thank you.

Worst thing was the narration (still gave it a 3 because it was average and there wasn’t a 3.5. Russian and an American duo become a trio in Bliss. There’s so much more but you need to read previous books. The reason I wanted to skip this book was because I empathize so much with the characters. They were not the main character but I still felt drawn to them. Yet, when the Russian, Alexie [sp.] had his inner thoughts he had an American accent. Why?!? He is Russian. This throws one off because you don’t know who’s thinking or if it is a conversation (quite distracting).
Also, and it is an author thing , i believe, it was repetitive. Repeating feelings, thoughts, and emotions were repetitive. Could have shaved off many minutes. I don’t mind different characters doing it but when the accent isn’t maintained by the individual characters you get lost and have to rewind. Would’ve been better if the narration had stayed in character. Russian and American. One could shave off more time.
Story was not as good as Laura’s (hope I gave that a 5/5) but it still maintained suspense and thriller.

Sensuality, A*! In fact, it had an added benefit with the Doc’s anatomical discrimination- titillating!

Definitely a read. Still think the order is a must!

Will I read another? No. Why? Not available unless I pay. Two, no other characters pulled me to buy or seek the next. Will I try to continue, only if a character motivated me (Marshal or Logan) and if it was free.

Enjoy,! I did!

Hopefully, you’ve read my last review; I didn’t skip a book and am happy about it.

Next up is Laura an FBI agent who goes to Bliss after being assaulted by a serial killer and profiling that it was a person who’s in law enforcement.
First, and thank goodness, there were no ‘real’ problems with getting the years apart correct except from 1. The King of Bliss (read the book, love the Dom in all the books more than the book dedicated to him 😞) staid “no one comes to my town without a real background check”. She had been there for five years so the background check would’ve been done under Ry, not Nate (the new Sheriff). Now it’s probably understood that it was Ry but Nate was mentioned prior so... Have to say that Nate saying he read Laura’s file the morning feds arrived helps.

Nevertheless, and shaking my head again, we have a problem throughout the book. Not with year counting (like the last book) but with language. Let me explain. All American Boy meets Miami born Cuban American
FBI Agents and have a great time and fall in love with Laura.
Maybe it’s the audiobook version but Hispanics and Spanish speakers don’t say Bella (like Twighlight), they say bella (pronounced bā-yah or bay-jah depending the region they’re from. So if All American learns how to say it, he’ll learn with his Gringo accent and I’ve heard a few. It still doesn’t sound like bella). So throughout the listening process it was grating.but not enough to fast forward or wish the best for the Agents. Now, it would’ve been easier on the ears if he had been a NY Italian American.
Story was funny, scary, and quite entertaining and the storyline kept me focused on the main characters a lot more than a potential love affair between the supporting actors like the last book. Did I say the book was funny? Had me busting a seam and laughing out loud (but you need to read earlier books to get it. Truly Hilarious!
Sensuality and hot scenes are STILL hot, hot, 🔥!
Oh, I would’ve given a shout out to Wolfe at the party for playing the fake fiancé. READ THIS BOOK!
I can’t wait for Holly, the Russian, and the Doc

Chapter 2 Steph recalls Meeting Jen when she was fresh out of college (HS grad at 18 plus 4 yrs. of college- that makes her 22, so maybe he got it wrong but the added 18months of residence at Bliss, puts her at 23+ but you still have an added 6 months, and 23 doesn’t add up). Furthermore, even if he got her age wrong, he can’t be dumb and not know he’s 32! Steph remained 32 (and I’m sure he knows his age lol) for 24 months (18+6 months). Where do I get this? He was in love with her for a minimum of “18 months” that Jen had been town. Chapter 8 Steph says that “she’d been the brattiest kid that he’d met in a year and a half”. Then Jen (after Steph’s continued rejection)left for Dallas for six months. So how is she STILL 23 and he STILL 32?
As if that’s not annoying enough Steph’s father, Sebastian, comes back to town to proclaim his undying, never ceasing love for Stella (town badass nurturer). They had fallen in love and had an affair prior to marrying Steph’s mom. How long ago would that be? At the minimum, 33 years (given they keep on saying Steph is still 32). Add 9 months and time for courting I graciously said 33. Not according to Chapter 17. He proclaims his undying love in the middle of the diner and Jen states, “if Sebastian could come to his senses after all these years...not that she planned on letting nearly 30 years go by...”
If I got this wrong, please enlighten me. Otherwise, it’s simple math Ms. Blake and editor(s), simple math. SMH.
I’d like to see smarter heroines. When a mobster asks are you Jennifer, after your friend slips out your shortened name (Jen) why not say no, I’m Jen. SMH
The story was entertaining but it was unsettling and annoying because it happened throughout the ENTIRE book.

Next up is Laura an FBI agent who goes to Bliss after working in the field for years. Maybe she’ll only be 23 as well 🤣. FBI Agents are intelligent and have gone through rigorous training. We shall see.

I might skip to Holly after this book because the Russian mobster, Alexiie, is interested in Holly and a love triangle (Doc., Mob, and gutsy Holly) should be interesting😉

Really love the Wind Dragon MC but the inconsistency in this book from past “rules” has contradicted everything. I love Talon from the Wild Men MC and he has been the most honorable. Anna and Bailey got into so much trouble for going into the WMMC but Wolf isn’t even respectful for bringing Talon’s cousin to WDMC?!?!? And what Asian woman do you know with a “bumble butt”?!? Furthermore, Vinnie (aka Wolf) is the youngest of the group, finally full-fledged, and the allow that much disrespect to another VP. Yet, the WDMC are supposed to be the better MC Club. Did we forget that Arrow Killed the past president of the WMMC when it was a Rogue member?!?
Also, I would’ve loved more info with Talon and Tia’s story and it didn’t overflow enough here. Tia is protected so they (WMMC) aren’t incompetent! Just hated how this book didn’t give credit to Talon’s intelligence and strength.

Did the author forget that the first couple of books could’ve been read? All that needed to be done was cut and paste from book 1 and book 2. Chapters 1 & 2 are so wrong from what happened. So upsetting. It’s not even a POV difference it’s a different scene and encounter. Upsetting when that happens because you leave a book with excitement and get a different scenario completely pisses me off

In today’s world, besides mother Theresa, I can’t imagine so many chapters (Dave) of allowing someone to be so cruel and disrespectful to another person. Why she never got on the plane and went home I don’t understand. Why when she saw the models come on a plane after her fathers been put in the hospital she didn’t leave, I have no idea. I hate the female character in the story. A toddler has more backbone. Pathetic! Let’s be humble for one day, maybe two days, but the day your father is in a hospital to allow what occurred on the plane is physical (stress which affects ones vitals) and emotional abuse. It pissed me off.

Much hotter than the first book. Performance still very good. Except did the author forget that Mrs. B (who had difficulties getting pregnant and miscarried several times) and Doc were expecting at the end of the first book. First child gained 20+ years since but the main character hadn’t. That was annoying, distracting, and took away from the eroticism.

Love the comedy relief of Rash’s second, Sheldon!
As a woman, and not too dainty, I believe a fainting spell would be appropriate when a supernatural shock is felt. None have done so. I forgive Krysta but new ones?? A swoon would have been romantic

Love this one!!
