Historia
Few people had a more profound effect on Christianity in the 20th century than G. K. Chesterton. The Everlasting Man, written in response to an anti-Christian history of humans penned by H.G. Wells, is considered Chesterton’s masterpiece. In it, he explains Christ’s place in history, asserting that the Christian myth carries more weight than other mythologies for one simple reason—it is the truth.

The best book of the past 200 years.
Revisado: 02-17-18
Till men rediscover Chesterton we remain awash in a sea of modern fallacies and phrases - if only we knew where to look we might find sanity again. This book has literally and fundamentally been a teacher to me on how to view life and the men around me. Even after listening to it 10 times (nay, I do not exaggerate) I find myself listening with rapt attention to this reading for hours at a time. It is too bad John Franklyn-Robbins did not do many more great works, as a narrator he is perhaps the greatest I have ever heard.

Historia
Orthodoxy was named as one of Publishers Weekly’s 10 indispensable spiritual classics of the past 1500 years. It is the personal journal of one man’s search for understanding culminating in his conversion to Catholicism. Written with wisdom and wit, G.K. Chesterton captures the very nature of faith.

Near perfect
Revisado: 02-17-18
The combination of Chesterton and John Franklyn-Robbins is incomparable. It my audible library it is second only to "The Everlasting Man," also by Chesterton and orated by John Franklyn-Robbins.

Mary Sue x 2
Revisado: 05-12-17
The basic concept of the main character is interesting (super exorcist) but the story devolves info a twilight fanfic where both of the leads have incredible powers of sexiness and killing ability with no downsides or interesting developments. Everything falls into their laps for no reason. There's no feeling of an arc or any anxiety for the outcome of their relationship. The book would have been much better if it had focused more on a real struggle between the characters and the hellborn, rather than that struggle being a side story.
