A huge letdown

Way too much time before a crime actually happened and the final resolution felt ridiculous. I feel like I wasted my time listening to this book.

Racism at the end??

I was all into this story until the denouement at the end. Suddenly, the murderer’s motive was based on inherent racism. And as a Black woman, I just couldn’t swallow this. It made me a little bit sick, to be honest. I know this story was written in the context of the day but it’s still a little sickening. The performance was good, though.

Life changing thought work

This book made me examine my own thoughts and limiting beliefs. It’s not so much a book about making 6 figures for me. It’s more a book about how my ways of thinking are keeping me from earning whatever I want, how they’re keeping me stuck in the minor leagues. I love this book and will listen to it repeatedly as I clean up my thoughts around money.

I’ve been struggling for MONTHS to understand why I should Sabbath. I know God commanded it and that it’s a gift. But I had so much to get done! I didn’t have time to take a whole day off doing...what? Sitting around? But now I understand. This book spoke directly to me about all the things I’ve been struggling with when it comes to sabbath. And these are things that directly affect other areas of my life and the call God has on me. So yes, I 100% recommend this book.

I absolutely love every episode in this set. It's entertaining - well written and well performed. I've owned the box set for about 2 years now but I find myself going back at least every couple of months and re-listening to the episodes all over again. Hilary is hilarious, Finn is her perfect straight man, and the mysteries are actually quite good. A must buy!
