Would you consider the audio edition of Dark Space to be better than the print version?

Probably so since you get to hear the great William Dufris bring the story and it's characters to life!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Alara/Angel, I liked her fight to survive and how she handled her situation.

What about William Dufris’s performance did you like?

Everything, he is a masterful story reader.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! Which is rare for me, I couldn't stop listening to this book it was so intense and suspenseful and entertaining!!

Any additional comments?

This is great pure sci-fi goodness at its best, if you like space sagas you will love this book!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely, it's an amazing story that will make you think, that will touch you deeply and besides all that it's just a darn good story with marvelous characters.

What did you like best about this story?

I don't know if I can pick just one thing, the whole story was amazing from start to finish, I desperately didn't want it to end. This sounds silly, but what I liked best was that it was a continuation from the first one, I wanted more of the story and this was it. I also loved the message of redemption.

Have you listened to any of Luke Daniels’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes I have, this one is at least as good, maybe even better. Regardless, it was AWEsome.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When I realized something about one of the characters ... before the story explained it. I was shocked, intrigued, horrified, amazed ... all that once.

Any additional comments?

Read UnWind first, and then read this one. It's an order! You won't regret it, I promise.

What did you love best about Unwind?

This book was more than a wonderfully entertaining story about life, love, survival, conflict, friendship, action, adventure, conspiracy, trust, commitment and betrayal ... it really made me think, long after I finished it. The characters were fantabufulastic! Their development was wonderful, and even the characters I hated I was nevertheless attached to.

What other book might you compare Unwind to and why?

Naturally more in this same series (UnStrung, UnWholly, UnSouled), but also The Hunger Games trilogy and Article 5.

What about Luke Daniels’s performance did you like?

Everything. Trite answer I know, but he is one of a handful of favorite readers of mine because of his ability to transport the listener past the audiobook and into the story. I got lost with his narration (in a good way) and it was just the characters, the story, and myself. Some readers never let you forget they are reading a book to you whereas Luke "IS" the story, the characters, and more.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes. I can't tell much about it, but there is one scene that despite there being absolutely no gross things, no gore, no horror movie spoils, it was one of the most suspenseful, frightening, touching, moving, scary things I have read. Between the way it was written and the way Daniels delivered it, I literally had to stop and calm myself down and actually considered skipping that part because it was so intense. That is how much I got into it! Very very very few books can do that to me.

Any additional comments?

I don't care how old you are or what your normal genre is, this book will amaze you, it will blow you away.

Would you consider the audio edition of On Target to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the book, only listened to it, but I would think it would have to be simply because of the way that the reader (Jay Snider) masterfully weaves the story, plays each character, and delivers an amazing story with perfect timing!

What other book might you compare On Target to and why?

Books in the Jack Reacher series, the Nathan McBride Series, and Cam Richter series are all in the same class in my opinion.

Which character – as performed by Jay Snyder – was your favorite?

Court Gentry, the main man in the story for sure. He is awesome, I wish he was a real person so I could meet the guy!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, near the end when Court has to deal with the dictator, and someone else gets involved that has different plans. I don't want to say more because I don't want to spoil things.

Any additional comments?

This entire series is great, the narrator is awesome, it's a fun ride through and through.

Would you consider the audio edition of Confessions of a D-List Supervillain to be better than the print version?

Having never read the print version it is hard to say, however, seeing as how the reader really brought it to life, I bet it sure is. The comedy gold of this book was delivered brilliantly by the narrator.

What other book might you compare Confessions of a D-List Supervillain to and why?

I haven't read or listened to anything like it before, but I'd sure like to find more like it!

Which character – as performed by Jeffrey Kafer and Talmadge Ragan – was your favorite?

Calvin Matthew Stringel, the main character, this character was a hoot to listen to, and I am certain that it was in fact exactly how that character was supposed to sound.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not necessarily, the entire book was great, but I didn't really find a scene in there that particularly moved me.

Any additional comments?

This is a fun ride and great story and well worth the price, my only complaint was that it wasn't long enough! :)

Would you listen to 11-22-63 again? Why?

Indeed I would, because this story was simply awesome. It was a thriller about time travel, a love story, a tale of being free at a great point in time in America, all about risks, rewards, taking chances and realizing what truly matters. I just cannot say enough about this book nor are there simple words that can do it justice!

What other book might you compare 11-22-63 to and why?

I haven't come across anything quite like this story before.

Which scene was your favorite?

Gosh it's hard to say, but probably when he buys the car for the first time and experiences the thrill of the road back in those golden days!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes! I could not put it down or stop it in this case, it was mesmerizing.

Any additional comments?

This book is not just a time travel story, and in reality it's not just any one story at all, there are so many stories all in this one book that I bet you will love it no matter what your normal taste in books.

Revisado: 11-30-12

Would you consider the audio edition of 14 to be better than the print version?

I haven't read the print version, but the reader here nailed the characters and narration right smack dab in the bulls eye ring from across the room he is so good! So I would think that the audio version is better, yes.

What did you like best about this story?

The way this story feels like you are peeling an onion, you keep pulling back layer after layer and you keep finding more good stuff. This story keeps taking twists and turns and you just never know what really is going on until the end. I mean this in a very good way, you keep guessing, knowing that it's one particular situation, that you have figured it out because you are so smart and then WRONG! He tosses another curve ball hand grenade in the mix and just blew yet another theory out of the water! Awesome!!!

What does Ray Porter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Sheesh, what didn't Ray Porter bring to the book! Naturally he totally had all of the characters down, cold, and kept them even and succinct throughout the story. There was never a time that one character sounded like another or didn't sound like themselves. However, the cadence of the book was set and kept by Porter, like a coxswain driving a boat Porter kept the story driving forward.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I didn't start with that conscious thought in mind, and I didn't listen to it in one sitting, but I can say that once I got into the book I had a hard time putting it down.

Any additional comments?

This book is great, I loved it, it reminded me a little of another favorite the Monster Hunter series (Not sure if I can mention other titles like that, editor please remove if that is bad). I have read other stories by Peter Clines and they all have been good!

What made the experience of listening to The Lost Stars: Tarnished Knight the most enjoyable?

It is rare that you get a series like the Lost Fleet that is so good and so long and then a new series pops up that gives you a view of the story and what is happening from the other side. Getting to see both viewpoints is an amazing thing, and having an author that does it as well as he does is fantastic!

What other book might you compare The Lost Stars: Tarnished Knight to and why?

Well, naturally I'd compare it to the Lost Fleet series since they are so intertwined. However, reaching outside the box, I might compare this to the Legion of the Damned Book 1 because they both deal with an enemies destruction, chaos, trying to create or restore order and rebuilding what you can with what you have. Both are great books!

Which scene was your favorite?

A specific scene? I don't know the whole book is so damn good. But my favorite point in the story would be when both CEO's, who are trying desperately not to be CEO's anymore, realize that they just might, might be able to trust one another.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Sure I wanted to, and just about did, although I didn't listen to all of it in just one sitting, I hungrily ate the story up as fast as I could. I can't wait for more!!!

Any additional comments?

ALL of the book by Jack Campbell/John G. Hemry are awesome, I have purchased and read them all and I recommend them to anyone.

I don't quite understand the negative comments I have seen, but we all like what we like. I took a chance on this book and I am glad that I did. Yes, it's a long book, but it's a very interesting journey. This isn't dime store fluff, this author makes you think. Sometimes he lets you figure it out, and others he keeps you guessing. I disagree that it's a Vampire "Fad" wannabe, but that's just my opinion. I can see where someone might draw some similarities if they wanted to, but lets face it folks, the whole point is to read or listen to a good story. Stop worrying about what this book is or is not and just jump in and enjoy. If you think it's similar to Vampire stories ... who cares, what does that have to do with a good story? I think you just ruined a great adventure for yourself if you are one of these people that let that upset you. While I was listening to this book and even after I finished it, I couldn't stop thinking about it. So much went on throughout the story that I was still mulling over situations, thinking about what could have been done differently or what something might mean about what is to come. People say the ending is terrible ... well, the ending is what you make of it I think. I don't want to spoil anything so I will just say this, it left a lot up to interpretation and speculation, and I am betting there will be a sequel that answers a lot of questions as well as creating more. In all, this was a great, great book that I for one am very happy to have experienced. By the way, in my opinion, the reader can definitely break the book (maybe help make it too), and this reader is AWESOME! No droning monotone here, this guy (and gals) are super.

This book reaches out and grabs you by the throat and holds you there until you finish it, very well done. I also love how he works in "historical" pieces as well, it's so believable it's crazy. Very intense, very entertaining, and most of all a very good story!
