I've listened to the 9 books on Audible for this Bad Guys Series and the 14 books of the Good guys series by Eric Ugland. It seems that both series occur in the same universe during the same time. I've binged and very much enjoyed all of the series. They both have the same narrator. So far the books are very sequential and finish up part of the sequence cleanly with the hint lead in of the next part in the last short chapter. I don't follow any updates on the books, and I have no idea how many more books are in ether series but it seems that they are half way finished and there is plenty of room for expansion to the universe. I love LitRPG stories and these have been well done that makes any remarks of a system or stats feeling entertaining and adding to the story rather than treating it like a chore. Though as many LitRPG stories go the main characters are different or break the systems... in this world it is explained that system god's or system rulers are chosing champions. Even though there are many many issues that where I find character choices or story line plots simplified, the author left enough room to explain or have the reader ignore it because there are many powerful interests effecting the characters and plots. I thought the bad guys series (opposed to to good guys series) is doing a little better at logical continuity. I highly recommend this series.

The Narrator is excellent. I might have found the series by looking for his work because I enjoyed other books he narrated. He doesn't have a huge range so character voices often sound similar... it added a small layer of difficulty keeping both book series apart mentally but not botheringly so. I continue to look forward to his work.

Loved author's 10 Realms series and listened/read the whole series twice, but this book didn't click as well with me, I might listen/read the next book. I rated the story as a 3 and will discuss more below.

I enjoyed the Narrator and rated performance as a 5, because I enjoyed the pace and voice for this book. I don't remember him having much range or being particularly exciting even during the climactic parts of the book. I would likely listen to him more as he was adequate and I enjoyed him more than most.

I have listened/read Lit/RPGs a LOT the last 2 years... like 40hrs a week. Often there is repetitiveness, extreme focus on world building, more stat repetitiveness, and lastly some sort of breaking of the system by the main character.

The first thing that this book starts with is the premise that an extremely powerful empire dominated humans and than for millinia create humans as needed in a System with a reversed reality that has Earth as a complete simulation (just like the Matrix). where the humans "escape" the Sim earth to enter a video game system reality as players with infinite lives to entertain and battle for the empire unknowingly.

This premise was flushed out slowly... but it felt flat and harder and harder to believe in. I won't list the issues because it encapsulates all of the book. almost all of the story was woven loosely and absurd enough that it might make perfect sense if you listen for another hour... and then it finishes after a battle that had a quick confusing lead up, but seemed to be shoved at the end just to finish the book.

My other issue with the book is that I could only really feel attached to the main character, and he was absurdly unbelievable. One of the richest men in the Sim Earth because of something absurd, becomes hyper focused on building a house and one absurdly loose plot advances to another makes him an oddly low level impossibly strong character.

In short, the plot and premise of the book was choppy, and though the main character was interesting he was hard to believe in.

I kept on wanting to really like the book, there are a lot of interesting parts to the book that kept me listening to the end.

I'm a fan of the narrator after listening to him in the litrpg ten realms series. I think I bought this book immediately after listening to the sample and enjoying it probably strongly influenced by my excitement that I recognized the voice.

Overall the book was great. It was odd jumping into a world with babies with a full scope of language and personality. The book glosses over this and I was left to assume that babies in this world are often born/reincarnated with high comprehension, language, and intelligence. After listening to the first hour and realizing that I had no idea what the book was about other than being a litrpg. I felt awkward with the child characters. I'm glad I jumped into the book and listened past the awkwardness. It reminds me a bit of Orson Scott Card's series Ender's Game or Seventh Son young characters... but even younger. Overall the world is interesting, and I like the main character's point of view and personality. I will be following for more.

second time listening to the series ... this 6th book continues the wonderful story. Laughed out loud several times. I'm still impressed on the narrator's use of voices and bringing out character's personality.

I've listened to the first 5 books in the series twice, read the 6th book, and the relistened to the first book a 3rd time. I loved them. I have been on a Litrpg kick for the last year. This has been my favorite series because of it's balance of humor, world creation, character development, and superb narration. I highly recommend this book and would recommend the whole series so far.
I could give small criticisms, but they didn't detract from my love of the series and wouldn't want to offer any reason to prevent someone from enjoying this listen

loved it. going to look for more from this author and narrator.

good pace, world creation, and great mix of characters.

narrator had a beautiful voice and timing. I don't remember any distinct character's voices besides some dialect and emotional intonation, but this limited range worked for this book and for the narrator very well.

I would recommend as m/m paranormal romance, cop detective/mystery work, and

there was hardly anything I disliked about this book. but... I just want to share one thing I thought absurd.... there is a conversation that omegas are life long vegans (no explanation given) an alpha werewolf didn't know this even though he had a huge amount of influence/knowlege, was forced to attend dinners with many omegas, was extremely precise ability to smell with lots of omega experience, and even had an omega mother. This revelation was also paired with the life long vegan tell his very much meat eating alpha male that "tofu tacos are actually really good". I'm vegetarian... I love tofu. The idea of anyone loving tofu is wonderful.... still... this part of the interaction was written oddly and made me cringe and giggle at the same time.

again I would recommend the book and narrator. I will probably relisten to my favorite parts now.

first time with this author and it was a engaging story. the large amount of internal dialogue could have been removed completely, but wasn't overly distracting. narrator was excellent.
no big climax and too much of the last 3rd of the book was low mood. definitely enjoyed some of the characters and world building.

The narrator was great, but at a quieter deeper slower voice I had to adjust my audio in my car a lot so it could be heard at the books low levels. The only problem I had with the narration was age/voice... They size/age/voice of the characters seemed off. Very young character had the same growly voice as older self. I would gladly listen to him again and hope for less children in the book.

About the book. It was false pretenses... The first part of the book was so misleading. It talks about a lost mate... The idea that the main character is so alone.
Then 75 percent of the book is about how they were in each other's lives constantly. We get the growing up story. It frustrated me horribly that key moments of plot were utterly stupid. So, I couldn't finish it, with over an hour and a half left, because it went too slow and too many odd interactions and over explanations. I didn't want to be under a stress of a slow smuldering finish waiting for a possible over dramatic point when I didn't see a reason to.

But.... It was a cute story. The main characters were likable enough. I enjoyed it overall as the world build and story pace was enjoyable, and I did love the narrators voice. If there were a few tweaks to the story it would be a great slow slow love story. Otherwise, the characters were idiots... I can't imagine anyone being utterly convinced and for any reader to believe that someone would wait 25 years to have sex because //some stupid reason// yet be so close to it. It went beyond cute frustrating... To annoying.

I enjoyed the story so much I listened twice. The narrator is easy to listen to even though she doesn't overly characterize all the voices, I didn't miss it, and I enjoyed her cool soft clear tone. The story was an easy progressive plot based fantasy, with just the right amount of details.
