Historia
When your father is a literal monster, the last place you want to go is home. Unfortunately, I wasn't given much of a choice. Following a five-year exile, I'm back in my childhood bedroom. Only, this time, there are silver bars on all the windows and vault locks on the doors. In lieu of a homecoming party, my father is hosting a barbaric tournament to determine who will win my hand in marriage.

Uneventful
Revisado: 08-28-22
If you like stories where the protagonist finds her kidnapped friend but does nothing to her her free, she forgives the love interest for no reason, and the climactic plan goes off without a hitch all for the sake of a happy ending, this is the book for you! The fact that the characters were vampires added nothing to the story, as they just drank blood from glasses and couldn't walk in sunlight, but could still ride in a car in daylight. They also were apparently not much stronger than humans. It was just a boring story.

Throughout the entire lecture, images are supposed to help you understand what is happening, but they are not in the included PDF. This makes it hard to understand what is being discussed.

Not what I expected
Revisado: 12-22-20
This is a cute little cozy mystery, but with a title like "The 12 Slays of Christmas," you would think there would be a serial killer to catch with lots of riddles and puzzles to solve. That's not the case, but it's still a good story.

Everyone should read this book
Revisado: 09-21-19
While some parts are fiction, most of the three stories are based on fact, and proceeds from the sale of the book go to organizations to help refugees.

Interesting story, not the best writing
Revisado: 01-27-17
The dialogue wasn't written too well. The characters rarely used contractions, which made them sound slightly formal, but then they'd also curse, so the contrast with what they were saying and how they were saying it made the conversations sound almost choppy. Also, all of the characters sounded the same. Not just the voices done by the reader, but also the way their voices were written, if that makes sense. It goes back to that diologue problem.

Historia
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

No one compares to Stephen Fry
Revisado: 09-24-16
If you love Harry Potter, Stephen Fry is the best narrator. Sorry Jim Dale, but no one can do it better!
