I enjoyed this but but hated that it ended on a cliffhanger. The character development was okay but could have gone a little deeper. I also felt that we needed more of a backstory in the first chapter. It feels like your typical shifter romance but I am hoping for more action in the next installment. I also don’t enjoy spending credits on what I consider a short story. I am also hoping for a strong female lead and not a whinny one.

Lots of sex with okay storyline

I was expecting more to the story but it was okay. It took me a bit to get use to the characters having sex so early on. The female lead had no issues jumping into bed with the male leads. However that seems to be the normal behavior of the current times. What took time for me to grasp was that she wanted a serious relationship from almost the beginning.

Boring

I fell asleep on this one at least three times. Totally not good. It felt like an afterthought. Narrator was good as always but this story was so not worth the credit or the wait.

Now I cannot wait for the next book. Ghost is going to be a beast of a book. Only thing I didn’t care for was the rinse/repeat of the heroine making bad choices.

Repeat, Repeat, Repeat

I was really hoping for a new twist, plot, change or some deviation in the series. I didn't get it. There are over 40 books in the series and I have listened to or read them all. Unless there is a dramatic change in the series I am not sure I will continue with it. I struggled through this book. I found myself day dreaming at times. The only part that I found myself laughing was at Bella's part. Eve doesn't seem to evolve at all. When will Peabody become a more independent detective able to solve her own cases? Will Baxter ever get promoted? At least we see a hint of Nadine finally becoming serious about a relationship and take on an intern with the possibility of adding some new interest. As far as the killer in this book...there have been better. I love Roark but there was nothing new there either. Overall, I was disappointed in this book. Writers shoyld evolve in their writing and I didn't feel that with this book.

Absolutely Loved the Narration

wow, this sucked me right in from the first sentence. This was a quick enjoyable listen. It went by too quickly. The book is just like others within the series without any surprises. However, the narration made it a good listen.

Through the storms

When life sends you through storm after storm, you have to have faith that a blessing is on the other side. This series is all about facing demons and coming out on the other side. Denise and Beck's story was turbulent and sweet. Beck is a solid rock that withstands everything that is thrown at him. To know that you have friends that you consider family who are totally oblivious to your inner pain and struggle can be mind boggling. But to have a man willing and able to see you through those times is a miracle. This book had a few surprises that I was not expecting. The author writes with realistic suspense and tragedy plots. Sometimes it is heart breaking. I actually shed a few tears. Can't wait to read the next one.

Tragedy

This book takes us on the journey of two people finding each other and learning to deal with tragedy and loss. It was inspiring and sad. Cage was strong and supportive and was exactly the kibd of man I expected him to be. The way he dealt with the Cowan situation had me saying Bravo! I just wish he realized he had a stalker bi@$h sooner. That's one thing that bothers me, if your business is in security, should you be hyper aware of people you interact wirh and your surroundings? Seems to me that background checks should be standard procedure when you sense something off. Overall an enjoyable read.

Wow such a sensitive subject

First of all let me just say that domestic violence is horrible and the road to recovery can be long and turbulent. Izzy's journey to finding her inner strength and deciding to fight to get her life back was frought with self-doubt and a lot of meltdowns. I had a hard time with some of it because I felt that after three years she should have been further along in dealing with it. It was hard for me to not think..get over yourself. She had a strong support system that included her best friend and Gregory. When Axel showed up I wanted to shake both of them. Being too stubborn to actually talk with each other and then finally explaining the past to each other was a process. I was glad they got their HEA and Izzy FINALLY started acting more mature and was able to stand up for herself. The narration was good. There are some steamy scenes but not too bad. Overall I enjoyed the book and I am glad I read it. I will probably read the others in the series as well because I want to see the other guys get their HEA.

finally a narrator who brings life to this series

I previously read these books through Kindle and decided to try it in Audible. It was very disappointing to have a bad narrator for the first three books of the series. I had to stop reading or listening to the books because it was just so bad. I am excited to say that this narrator truly brings the stories to life you will not be disappointed in this book series. However I must warn you that there is a great deal of sex so if you are squeamish this is not the book series for you.

This book focuses on Nadia and Rast with and intrduction to Elise and Merrick. Nadia is a very sweet and impressionable character and I sometimes felt that she was too naive to her circumstances.

I enjoy strong female leads, while Nadia was not submissive to a point where I thought I would pull my hair out, she was a bit self focused to a point where she failed to acknowledge the sacrifice Rast was making for her. She apologized for it later. I am hoping the she will grow and become more self confident in future installments.

I wanted to kill her intended for her; to have to suffer the cruelty of another for years is unthinkable but Nadia held out as long as she could. In comes Rast to save the girl and open the door to the Horde. The plot twists and turns are awesome and incredible you will not be disappointed.
