Historia
Recruited by the US Army and Navy from small towns and elite colleges, more than 10,000 women served as codebreakers during World War II. While their brothers and boyfriends took up arms, these women moved to Washington and learned the meticulous work of codebreaking. Their efforts shortened the war, saved countless lives, and gave them access to careers previously denied to them.

A Best Listen!
Revisado: 08-06-18
This is one of the best books I have listened to and as a researcher myself, I was wowed at the amount of research Ms Mundy did to write this book. It tells the story of the brave and often unappreciated work that women provided during the last world war. Each woman's story is told in just enough detail for the listener to get to know her and appreciate her sacrifice for her country. I hope some day to see this book made in to a movie - if that happens, I will be the first person in line to buy a ticket!

Fruits and Vegetables
Revisado: 11-02-17
What a wonderful, well researched book this is! I really enjoyed every minute of it from the research into why we like Fabreze to why we do some of the weird things we do. Mr Duhigg offers us suggestions on how we can change some of the habits we have that we don't like. Hoping my husband decides to stop eating Cheerios after he reads this book - it's a habit he's had for 60 years and it drives me nuts just because it's such a deeply engrained habit ;)
Everytime I walk into the grocery store now and see the fruits and vegetables in front of me I think "ah-ha, you're not going to trick ME into buying junk food!" - - - does it work? Yes.

One of the Best Books I've Read
Revisado: 07-09-17
I won't ever forget this book and the history it contains nor should anyone who reads it. It personalizes the lives of young women who ended up in German concentration camps during World War II and the horrific conditions they survived. The story is told from several perspectives and held this reader spellbound until the final page. A must read for all!

Mixed Feelings
Revisado: 05-27-16
I loved the contents of this book but the audio sounded like it was slowed down (maybe to lengthen playing time?). I set the listening speed to 1.25 which helped. It's pretty pricey based on listening hours - especially if you speed it up.
I tried to find n unabridged audio copy elsewhere but was unable to.
I would love to see an updated version of the book, read in its entirety.
I felt like the information I gained was a huge paradigm shift in my understanding of anger. Can't wait to get a copy of the book!
