I love the Association!! I put them at the same level as Brian Wilson's Beach Boys, and they should be in the RRHOF!! I learned so much from this audiobook! Russ Giguere is a living legend in the same league as Brian Wilson, and Paul Stanley (yes, I love KISS too, and gained even more respect for Paul after learning he is a fan!) Thank you Russ for sharing this great story!!!

You know the films. You know the characters. You may even know the man behind the glasses. But do you really know the events and happenings that most changed Harold Lloyd? That define him? The turning points in his life and career? From birth to death, Harold Lloyd grew and evolved because of the things that were happening around him, and he was always aware of the importance of these events.

Too short!!!

I've been a Harold Lloyd fan for 29 years, this book was great! I learned so much more about Harold than I ever had before. I wish more subjects and movies would have been talked about, such as more on the Milky Way, the first Harold movie I saw. I hope someday there will be a sequil, or a revised edition with much more Harold trivia!!!

Good Simpsons trivia, but pushes personal beliefs
Revisado: 05-21-24
I enjoyed about the first 2/3 of the book when he talks about the Simpsons. But it seemed like the book dragged on too long, the one sided political jokes became more annoying than anything, I mean com'mon real comedians attack both sides, even Robin Williams had a field day on Biden!! We probably could have a drinking game with how many times the author mentions that he's jewish. I couldn't finish the book. Sorry.. Loved the Simpsons trivia, but next time try to not push single sided politics and religion... try to apply to everyone, rights, lefts, jews, Christians, athiests, etc.

Historia
Our brains do their best to help us out, but every so often they can be real assholes - having meltdowns, getting addicted to things, or shutting down completely at the worst possible moments. Your brain knows it's not good to do these things, but it can't help it sometimes - especially if it's obsessing about trauma it can't overcome. That's where this life-changing book comes in. With humor, patience, science, and lots of good-ole swearing, Dr. Faith explains what's going on in your skull, and talks you through the process of retraining your brain to respond appropriately....

there's a reason why this is free.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I could only listen to 10 minutes of this before I'd had enough of this woman's voice, and her very poor attempts at swearing, which reminds me of a teenager who thinks they're cool throwing the f-bombs in every other word. maybe this book would have been good though with a less annoying narration.
