Historia
Some say that to change the world you must first burn it down. Now that belief will be tested in the crucible of revolution: the Breakers and Burners have seized the levers of power, the smoke of riots has replaced the smog of industry and all must submit to the wisdom of crowds. With nothing left to lose, Citizen Brock is determined to become a new hero for the new age, while Citizeness Savine must turn her talents from profit to survival before she can claw her way to redemption. Orso will find that when the world is turned upside down, no one is lower than a monarch.

never disappointed!

fantastic interwoven stories, grit and good reading! I'm just sad I've run out of Joe Abercrombie's books! to have books so emersive and so well written that actually get finished in this genre is just the best thing ever!

Historia
Being an unwanted twin in the Imperial line of succession, Farilane became a scholar, adventurer, and in a time when reading was once more forbidden—a book hunter. Her singular obsession is finding the mythical Book of Brin, a tome not just lost but intentionally buried. Respected and beloved by the Teshlor Knights, not even their legendary skills can protect her for what she finds is more dangerous than what she sought.

incredible and one of the best
Revisado: 10-12-23
a beautiful ending, and a refreshing change. This book surprised me in a great way. As someone who has read all of the other books in this long series, I found this book rewarding on so many levels and can understand why it is one of the authors personal favourites too. wonderfully read and cleverly written.

King Shrewd has been struck down by a mysterious illness and King-in-waiting, Verity, spends all his time attempting to conjure storms to confuse and destroy the Red-Ship Raiders. And when he leaves on an insane mission to seek out the mystical Elderings, Fitz is left alone and friendless but for the wolf Nighteyes.

the reading breaks the immersion for me
Revisado: 11-15-22
I love these books, and the reader does a good job. but I can tell its an American reader as some things are said in a way English people wouldn't say especiallycertain A sounds. so its just a bit jarring. I did for the most part get used to it, but its not ideal.
