I’ve been waiting patiently to find another good romance book, one with details, and beauty, and solid plot points… this book did it all. After a couple of duds I was ready to take a break from audible for awhile but I’m so glad I didn’t and got this book. This book is the perfect combination of character development, smut😏, and story. If you like Corrine Michaels or Emily Henry books you will probably like this author and book too.

Not enough smut for me

I love a good build up to kissing, I also love details and this book lacks all of it. I like the story, the narrator is great, but I’m disappointed with the little amount of detail overall. If you’re used to detailed romance, find another book. If you want something less smutty, this one is probably for you.

I preordered this book in anticipation of another Emily Henry novel. It did not disappoint. I was in tears more than once and I just love the way this was written. The emotion, the turmoil, the FRIENDSHIP. Absolutely beautiful story of people who are meant for each other, but are fighting the universe and themselves to be together. Read it!!

Great romance

Reading this book made me want to attend a renaissance fair. The main character can be a little oblivious, but it’s a good story overall!

It’s been awhile since I’ve had an exceptionally good read and this one provided!! Great story, amazing narrating as always by these two. Such a beautiful narrative, I’ll be listening again soon. Definitely worth the credit.

I would’ve appreciated more of a heads up that this novel would include ghosts, not my thing and now a waste of a credit. I’m sure the writing is great but I only made it through the first hour before realizing the romance was paranormal.

While I was skeptical about a book that didn’t require a credit, I was so pleasantly surprised with this read. I love love love the narrator and the story is super relatable, sexy, and funny. I also love the connection between the main characters. It’s a great story about how you can be fiercely independent, and have love. Some things are just meant to be.

Best romantic comedy book I’ve ever read

When I was about half way through this book I thought, “this story is a tease” but let me tell you it’s SO worth it. All of the build up, all of the back and forth, all of it ties into one beautiful story you won’t be able to stop listening to. I’ve never read (or listened to) a book that kept my attention so incredibly well, or one that was so relatable and funny. It definitely made me want my own Alex.

She is a shark, and she is beautiful

Incredible writing, relatable characters, and an amazing performance by the narrator. I loved seeing an FMC who was a bit different from the typical troupe. She is a shark, and though she’s terrifying, cunning, and controlled, she’s also beautiful, layered, and entirely relatable. If you like romantic comedy books with a bit of an edge, this is for you
