Historia
Everyone dreams-both literally and metaphorically-but most people don't know that their dreams can be used for personal development. Therapist, dream expert, and founder of the Jung Society of Utah and the Jung Platform Machiel Klerk shares how, through dream incubation, you can manifest the life of your dreams just by cultivating an intimate relationship with your own dreams and taking the guidance you receive from your subconscious. If you ask the right question and keep an open mind, your dream will give you an answer.

When student is ready the teacher appears
Revisado: 06-17-22
Machiel’s narration is kind and heartfelt as he shares his personal stories and stories from people he worked with.
The book offers practical knowledge on steps to follow before dream incubation, insightful instructions on questions formulation, and discussion of common mistakes.
I was very happy to hear Machiel’s thoughts on shamanism and magical use of dreams as well.
Something that I did not expect and jumped in my sit when I heard - mentioning of Asclepius! This was sync that showed me that my attempts to connect with this deity were not wasted. I am working in clinical research field in an effort to find effective and less toxic treatment for patients with cancer (cancer immunotherapy). Last month, I bought a statue of Asclepius and placed it on my working desk, hoping, the devine physician could guide me in my work. I was glaring on Asclepius statue when Machiel was reading the chapter describing Asclepius temple he visited. I felt at that moment, that Asclepius is speaking to me through this audiobook.
First night, I applied the steps described by Machiel, and got profoundly deep dream. While I realized that the understanding of the dream that unfolded will take long time, and more work to be done on myself, I immediately felt the relieve in the feelings that I was carry around with me for some time now.
I feel deeply grateful for Machiel’s work and Jung platform and highly recommend the book!

Historia
Why do people dodge responsibility when things fall apart? Why the parade of public figures unable to own up when they screw up? Why the endless marital quarrels over who is right? Why can we see hypocrisy in others but not in ourselves? Are we all liars? Or do we really believe the stories we tell? Backed by years of research and delivered in lively, energetic prose, Mistakes Were Made (But Not by Me) offers a fascinating explanation of self-deception.

Like beautiful poetry but in the format of a novel
Revisado: 04-14-15
Would you listen to I'll Be Right There again? Why?
Yes. This is one of the best novels to describe what it means to be alive.
What about Erin Moon’s performance did you like?
She narrates for at least 5 different characters in this novel and managed to make them sound very distinctive and natural. Also, I think Erin Moon's performance has great rhythm, slower when it calls for it and faster when needed.
Any additional comments?
I cannot wait to listen to Kyung-Sook Shin's other book that I found on Audible.
