I am just grateful that you are doing it!!
Revisado: 10-10-22
You definitely have inspired 1 person for today. I am looking to learn how I can help people become more independent, breaking out of the matrix, breaking paradigms, experimenting new things, growth hacks, and how to get from A to B, from dependent on a job to really dare to be great!

Historia
Lane Moore is a rare performer who is as impressive onstage - whether hosting her iconic show Tinder Live or being the enigmatic front woman of It Was Romance - as she is on the page, as both a former writer for The Onion and an award-winning sex and relationships editor for Cosmopolitan. But her story has had its obstacles, including being her own parent, living in her car as a teenager, and moving to New York City to pursue her dreams. Through it all, she looked to movies, TV, and music as the family and support systems she never had.

Historia
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert's there are few. So begins this most beloved of all American Zen works. Seldom has such a small handful of words provided a teaching as rich as this famous opening line of Shunryu Suzuki's classic. In a single stroke, the simple sentence cuts through the pervasive tendency students have of getting so close to Zen as to completely miss what it's all about. An instant teaching in the first minutes. And that's just the beginning.

beginners mind is meditation
Revisado: 03-01-19
important because without it, we get lost in the world, stop wondering and start sabotaging. and so the world persists with distorting our nature, unless we can begin a new again and remain as we were before we became who we are (by the world). we are universal and as a such, a reflection of the nature that is, not our intepretation of it. the beginners mind helps us to descale where we are and begin a new again by living the 1st state of creation in our days so we can have natural awe beginning a new through meditation and finding the reason to begin anew everyday (to remain who we are, not who we have become). great book.

what is there to say after hearing this book?
Revisado: 09-10-18
that the tao te ching is the finger that points to the life. that the life is not ever what you think. that you are not even what you think. and that listening to this book, in slower tempo, allows the heart to feel its way into undetstanding, and so you assist it, by slowing down the mind. if now is all the time, then speed is irrelevant to understanding, if you detach from the ego of your intelligence capacity, think that the words are the way, instead of sitting with every moment in this book, slowly, calmy and gently so that it may be understood by the heart, at the pace it understands. never at the speed of light like the mind, slowed down by infinite proportion of now, like the heart. i wish your gentle awareness a slow and patient understanding so that you too can actualize the message, by seeking to understand this boom from the perspective and way of your heart.

"True belonging doesn't require us to change who we are. It requires us to be who we are." Social scientist Brené Brown, PhD, LMSW, has sparked a global conversation about the experiences that bring meaning to our lives - experiences of courage, vulnerability, love, belonging, shame, and empathy. In Braving the Wilderness, Brown redefines what it means to truly belong in an age of increased polarization.

anectdotes are lenghty, boring and impersonal.
Revisado: 05-24-18
there was almost nothing good about this book, beyond the real nuggets. most of it was fluff and boring and impersonal stories that only affect or seem to have affected her yet "speaking truth to bullshit" was the worst part of all. there is always a better way to prove a point and her cursing comes off purely egoic and unintelligeble. i am disappointed in this book as it offers very little tl the actual reader beyond the core ideas, which she takea from quotes and are not even her own... strong back, soft front... for example.. the overall idea i do like but it lacks so much more depth, this is just skimming the surface on how to belong to yourself and i am glad to have heard it so to write a book about the subject that really goes where we actually need to.. so in that regard, I thank you brene brown for writing this book and all your work.. you will help us advance human kind... and for that... our deepest gratitude to you
