Historia
As Meghan, Duchess of Sussex builds out a business of her own, she’s getting advice and insights from a handful of amazing women who have scaled small ideas into successful companies. These fly-on-the-wall conversations will no doubt inspire anyone who’s interested in turning their own entrepreneurial dreams into a reality and anyone else who just wants to hear what really happens behind the scenes.

Relatable while also being inspirational
Revisado: 04-24-25
Sometimes when a podcast host interviews their friends, it can seem like they have inside jokes that the listener isn't privy to and it can feel distancing and distracting. This podcast is not like that at all. Somehow Meghan manages to make you feel like you are one of the girlfriends instead of a listener on the outside. As a female business owner, it can be a struggle and I have really enjoyed hearing the stories of the guests so far and I'm looking forward to the rest of the season.

Historia
Jack Canfield is a master motivator, world-renowned teacher, and best-selling author of The Success Principles. In Success Affirmations, he helps listeners break through to new levels of passion, purpose, and prosperity with time-tested wisdom and 52 affirmations. In our 24/7 world, where we move at warp speed, sometimes we let life happen to us instead of taking control of our direction. Other times, we suffer from information overload, fail to consciously control our positive thoughts, and allow negativity to take over.

outdated theories
Revisado: 12-17-24
Lots of great information in this book. However, I just can't get past the outdated guidance to stay late at work, put your employer over your own needs, "your employer will see your hardwork and reward you". That just isn't the case. Putting yourself first over your employer isn't selfish. You are a number to them. It's okay to have your keys in hand at 5 min til 5.

Historia
A quarter of a century after her memoir, Thinking in Pictures, forever changed how the world understood autism, Temple Grandin—the “anthropologist from Mars,” as Oliver Sacks dubbed her—transforms our awareness of the different ways our brains are wired. Do you have a keen sense of direction, a love of puzzles, the ability to assemble IKEA furniture without crying? You are likely a visual thinker.

a little self righteous
Revisado: 11-24-24
i could have done without all of the Elon Musk examples/praising and more examples from everyday people. overall it felt self righteous and finger pointing.

Relatable and easy to follow
Revisado: 07-17-24
This is the very best book that I have read on ADHD. I've read many many others, and some even by authors who say they also have ADHD, but there is no comparison at all.
Jessica has a skill at being able to be informative without talking down to you. This book was incredibly engaging and relatable, and I was sad when it was over.
Thank you so much for putting yourself out there and subjecting yourself to this judgemental world so that others could understand ourselves and find our worth.

Historia
After President Woodrow Wilson suffered a paralyzing stroke in the fall of 1919, his wife, First Lady Edith Wilson, began to handle the day-to-day responsibilities of the chief executive. Mrs. Wilson had had little formal education and had only been married to President Wilson for four years, yet in the tenuous peace following the end of World War I, she dedicated herself to managing the office of the president, reading all correspondence intended for her bedridden husband.

lots of repeating
Revisado: 07-28-22
This book could have been quite a bit shorter. Several times I thought I had accidentally rewound because the exact same phrase or story was repeated in different chapters.
Also learning the level of lying and deception that this woman conducted is disgusting. She wasn't the president. She was committing fraud and shouldn't be celebrated for that. Everytime the author refers to her as "President Edith" I got angrier.
