Fitting Title

The first half of the book I struggled to stay focused and felt like it relied too much on other books written by this author. However, beginning chapter 8, about halfway through, it all started to come together. It was also in this second half, that the title of the book became most fitting. It all built up to the techniques for self empowerment that I found very useful. I have studied coaching and empowerment quite extensively and felt this book had a great deal to add to my toolbox. I highly recommend this read/listen.
The narrator also did a great job, but I DID have to giggle every time she said Amygdala.

I have the 1st comic and hadn't read it yet. I pulled it out and compared what I was listening to. The part I read was spot on. The music, the acting and background noise in general made it very immersing and enjoyable. Sometimes, very infrequently, the Sandman and other characters sounded a bit flat and inauthentic when they were narrating their parts, because the line wouldn't be realistic for the character to say. However they were such small parts it would be awkward for the narrator to step in and deliver them as well. The parts were necessary for story advancement and visualization as a reader though, so I don't know what could have been done better. For that, I gave the performance 4 stars. However, the majority was well above a 5 star rating. This is probably my favorite Neil Gaiman now, and I don't know if that would be the case without the cast embodying it so well!!
