Historia
When an unknown someone shoots him and leaves him to die, Harry Dresden hopes he might be heading to a better place. Unfortunately being dead doesn't make Harry's life any easier. Trapped between life and death, he learns that his friends are in serious trouble. Only by finding his murderer can he save his friends and move on - a feat that would be a lot easier if he had a body and access to his powers. Worse still are the malevolent shadows that roam Chicago, controlled by a dark entity that wants Harry to suffer even in death.

His best friend is his low-energy Basset hound Jake, with whom he shares a simple life of stealing cars. Simple, that is, until Ruddy starts hearing a voice in his head. The voice introduces himself as Alan Lottner, a dead realtor. Ruddy isn’t sure if Alan is real, or if he’s losing his mind.

Surprising fun
Revisado: 08-06-18
This was my first book by Cameron. I came across it during a sale if I remember correctly and thought it sounded interesting. I like mysteries and don't mind a bit of quirkiness to them, i.e. some element of the supernatural. I thought the author did a good job making the situation the main character finds himself in believable. I found myself easily drawn in to the story and the characters. I enjoyed the humor and the fact that the main character was your 'average joe'. Love the dog and especially love the way he writes the way Kermit speaks. Hope he does more than just a couple of books in the series. Narrator was good as well.

Typical cozy mystery, not Agatha Christie by any means, but entertaining enough if you are looking for something light and easy to listen to.

He also possesses raw magical talent and the ability to make objects in his vicinity light as a feather or as heavy as depleted uranium, all with a magical thought. It's no wonder the G-men turn to Jake when they need someoneto go after a suspected killer who has been knocking off banks in a magic-enhanced crime spree.

Historia
Scotland Yard’s new chief inspector Nicholas Drummond is on the first flight to New York when he learns his colleague, Elaine York, the "minder" of the Crown Jewels for the "Jewel of the Lion" exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, was found murdered. Then the centerpiece of the exhibit, the infamous Koh-i-Noor Diamond, is stolen from the Queen Mother’s crown. Drummond, American-born but raised in the UK, is a dark, dangerous, fast-rising star in the Yard who never backs down. And this case is no exception.

Enjoyable
Revisado: 04-13-16
If you enjoy the FBI series with Savage and Sherlock you will enjoy this. Not use to 2 narrators but it worked and was kind of nice to have male and female voices. The main characters English accent was a little more australian sounding to me but otherwise they did a good job. Immediately started the next in the series.
